Republicans Lower Expectations Over Normy’s Dough

coleman4.jpgMichael Mike Brodkorb started to lower expectations today of Norm’s Q2 fundraising totals saying;

“U.S. Senator Norm Coleman raised more money than Franken during the last reporting period, but I would expect Franken to beat him this quarter.”

He then goes on to rationalize about Norm doing his business being a good Senator… yadda yadda yadda. Which is kind of silly. Because it would at least imply that while racking up his million plus dollars in Q1, Norm wasn’t being a good Senator. It’s also silly, because as Norm is still surprisingly tight lipped about how he’s going to vote on cloture on the immigration reform bill, Mike Michael must also be implying that one need not be courageous to be a good Senator.

Keep an eye out as the Republicans will inevitably try to lower expectations over and over again as Norm Coleman gets outworked by a great field of DFL’ers who are ready to occupy Paul Wellstone’s Senate seat.

Stay tuned to MNPublius as the numbers come in, we’ll be sure to give you the straight dope.

Republican fundraising has been down nationwide, for some reason, about 25% compared to the same time in 2005. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=11043081

Anyone want to guess what Franken’s numbers will be?

  4. 4 4 James McBroom

Franken’s number’s will probably be 10times of my budget.Hmmmm….wasn’t Paul Wellstone outspent by about that much before he got elected? just goes to show that money is important but not THAT important. That’s why all I need is 5% for the debates.
I can get that on a shoe string budget. My statewide tour starts at the end of July. You guy’s didn’t think I was just going to stay idle did you? Once 5% is got and I am allowed in the debates I will give you gentleman the courtesy of what the number’s will be.

    Broom 48%
    Coleman42%(and that’s a generous qoute)
    Franken 8%
    other 2%

I find it odd Broom Jr. hasn’t addressed this issue yet? Take your time Jr. I know it must not be easy, If I’m honest about who I am and what I know, then you could not risk your career slandering me. on the other hand if I was full of it that would be pretty rude of me wouldn’t it? Either way Jr. I like you. Please don’t make me change my opinion of you.

    James McBroom. You are insane.

And while I would ever vote for you, I sincerely hope that you continue running just to make things more interesting.

    My predictions:

    1. Norm Coleman will not raise as much as Al Franken.

    2. Norm Coleman will raise more than Mike Cirisi.

    3. Al Franken will not raise 2.6m dollars.

    4. Al Franken will raise more in individual donors than Norm Coleman.

    5. Al Franken will raise more in individual donors from Minnesota, than Norm Coleman.

    6. Norm Coleman will break 1m dollars. But, less than 1.5m. I’d put it in the 1.2-1.3 range.

    7. Mike Cirisi will be close to 1m dollars, but I don’t know how close on either side.

    8. Mr. McBroom will not win the Independence Party endorsement. There will be simmering resentment from a litany of Brooms, of whom I am the most liberal, and most fall somewhere right of Tom Delay, for disparaging the family name.

    9. My ‘career’ will go one despite this slander.

    10. The progeny of Michael Brodkorb will be dirty left wingers. Workin’ for PIRG, eating lots of granola, dating long haired hippy types. Brodkorb will meet them on the porch with a gun. The humor of the situation will be lost on everyone.

Sorry, just wanted an even 10. Sean

The pissing match between the Democrats and Republicans continues. The only problem is the regular citizen is the one who ends up with piss all over them.

    My prediction:

    1. Sean Broom will only serve 1 term as the President of the Young DFL

Sean I can prove I have the best prescription drug plan in the history of America. The only thing better may be a “universal” health care plan. Gee, I wonder who will put that in motion. Unless T-Paw runs as #1 not #2 its as good as done.

In regards to me not getting the I.P. endorsement? Is it because you feel I derserve the DFL endorsement? Last I knew Wellstone was the most liberal U.S. Senator ever. Broom Sr. being the patriot that I am tried to show my proof in regards to foul play. PROOF thats what people want Sean. I would’ve given it to you for free, Now unless your name is Larry King don’t bother asking. You are obviously still a born and bred republican, quit fooling yourself. Why would I expect any votes from a democract?? oh I don’t know mabey to give Paul Wellstone justice!! Mabey you don’t remember who he is, since you are still a little boy. For sake of argument I am showing the I.P. Party nothing but Love. Should I not get the I.P. endorsement-
thats on the I.P. not me….Then I get to be a write in candidate. National attention will be coming my way regardless. You should resign and go back to your republican family who still loves you.
