The DFL just put out this press release and in it they provide a great breakdown of some of the key facts. He fell 19 points in southern Minnesota… ouch!
Read the whole release after the break. Seriously, take a look, these numbers are brutal.
Lead, Follow, or Get Out of the Way: More Minnesotans Now Disapprove of Coleman’s Job in Senate
New Survey USA Poll Shows Coleman Under 50 Percent in Nearly Every Demographic and Region in State
St. Paul, MN (July 25, 2007) More Minnesotans now disapprove than approve of Senator Coleman’s job in the Senate, according to a new poll released today by Survey USA. Coleman’s approval rating was below 50 percent in nearly every demographic and region in Minnesota.
Today’s poll numbers show that only 43 percent of Minnesotans approve of the job Coleman is doing, while 48 percent disapprove. Coleman’s approval rating among all adults has dropped five points in the last month and 12 points since January 2007. [Survey USA, 7/25/07]
For the first time since at least May 2005, the earliest Survey USA poll on Coleman’s approval rating, Coleman’s disapproval rating exceeds his approval rating.
Coleman’s approval rating is below 50 percent in 17 out of 22 demographic or regional categories, including moderate and independent voters, women, and voters in southern and northeastern Minnesota, among others. [Survey USA, 7/25/07]
“There’s an old saying: you can lead, you can follow, or you can get out of the way. Unfortunately, Norm Coleman is a follower

It just goes to show how much Norm Coleman is a “Bush Boy”. So sad. :-(
See ya… wouldn’t wanna be ya…. Norm (Bush) buddy
Now for the GOP collapse to spread to John Kline.
I hope you get the chance to read today’s op-ed in the Washington Post by two former Reagan officials, using the term “war crimes” to describe the Bush administration and its Waffling On Torture. (Is this expression of righteous anger, from the solid right wing, enough to penetrate the idiot media echo chamber narrative of “opposition to the Bush administration = left wing, by definition”?)
What this has to do with John Kline: One of the authors was appointed Commandant of the Marine Corps under Reagan. The image of a senior Marine officer hanging out with Reagan brings one image directly to mind, for those of us in the southern suburbs of Minneapolis: John Kline, our man in the House of Representatives, who loves to conjure up images of himself in uniform rubbing shoulders with Reagan for his campaigns.
With one of the authors of this incendiary attack on Bush’s Waffling On Torture having been the Commandant of the Marine Corps under Reagan, at the same time that Kline was a Marine colonel and aide to Reagan, Kline must be familiar with the Commandant under whom he served.
So the question for Kline is: do you think your hero Reagan’s Marine Commandant has a good point, that Waffling On Torture is a disgrace and a betrayal of American values? Or are you going to keep lockstep with Bush in what your former superior officer, appointed Commandant under Reagan, believes to be a danger to our own troops and an open invitation to war crimes under the Geneva Conventions?
It would be great to ask Rep. Kline this question and get an answer on the record, but since he hasn’t lived up to his promise about holding more face-to-face town hall meetings with his constituents this year, we have to rely on the few people who have access to him to ask this question. And since most access to Rep. Kline is based upon how much money you gave him, I doubt most of the military contractors and drug companies are really going to be interested in getting him to respond to this issue.
Stealing a line:
Normy the Bush SOCK PUPPET?
