Draz Sues Republicans, Shunned By Party Leaders

draz_home_photo.jpg

In the coverage of the 28B special election at the token Republican attack blogs they’ve been hammering away at Linda Pfeilsticker pretty hard.

But one thing is noticeably absent. No one seems to be talking about Steve Drazkowski her opponent.

Now, why could that be? Could it be that Drazkowski has a checkered past where he avoided trying to pay child support, insulted the party leadership, and even sued Republican party employees? Could be.

In 2005 Drazkowski was arrested for assaulting his daughter during a domestic dispute; in 2006 he ran for the Republican endorsement in the District 28 State Senate race. Meg Walch was Sen. Dick Day’s personal choice in the race and several employees of the Senate Republican Caucus volunteered for Walch’s campaign, they produced a flier and distributed it to the Republican endorsing convention attendees. They labeled a post from our good friend Northern Debater’s blog “Senate Candidate Abuses Daughter, Still Running” as having actually come from Winona Daily News (the flier can be found here, in the judgment from the complaint — which I’m getting to).

What does this tell us? That if you absolutely, positively have to anonymously slander your opponent, hit up some Young Republicans. But back to the topic at hand.

After seeing the anonymous hit piece Drazkowski sued the Senate Caucus employees who made the flier and he made unfounded allegations that Sen. Dick Day (who was the Senate Caucus leader at the time) knew about the mailing! The complaint was thrown out because it was frivolous and Senator Dick Day said this about Drazkowski,

“(Drazkowski) is a guy who’s just disgruntled,” Day said Monday. “He makes me nervous, but what do you do? I’m just glad it’s over with, and ready to move on to something else.”

The endorsed Republican candidate in the race said that the complaint was a “disgraceful attempt by Mr. Drazkowski to gain traction in his primary bid.”

And Ron Carey? He though that with “With today’s dismissal of Steve Drazkowski’s frivolous complaint, it’s time for him to finally do the right thingdrop out of the race.”

Of course, he didn’t. He won the primary and went on to be crushed by Senator Steve Murphy.

And things aren’t any better the second time around, the MN GOP’s website isn’t asking that people donate to Drazkowski, instead that they donate to the GOP (and we all know how well thats gone before) and although he took down the quotes page since we posted about it who can forget about the ringing endorsements that the Minnesota GOP got from the Drazkowski and his supporters?

“I’m more convinced each day that Steve Drazkowski will make a great State Senator... Draz’s courage in standing up to… the poor judgment of his own political party demonstrates what we all should look for in our leaders.” - John Adams (Former Republican Party State Vice Chair)

So in the future if you’re curious why Mike Michael Brodkorb isn’t posting anything positive about Drazkowski, why don’t you ask Brodkorb’s former boss?

“(Drazkowski) is a guy who’s just disgruntled. He makes me nervous, but what do you do?”
Sen. Dick Day (R-Owatonna)

This special election is going to be important. Linda Pfielsticker, the DFL endorsed candidate is a popular High School teacher, and I think given her opponents record and the record of the Republican party recently in special elections, we can count on her to be part of the growing DFL majority in the Minnesota State House.

I’m going to open the comments to suggestions for Drazkowski’s campaign slogan — my suggestion?

Steve Drazkowski: Because Mark Olson Just Isn’t Crazy Enough.

edit: updated some terminology and links in the post. — sb.

Update 12:10 7/30

The terminology indicated above was a change in the third paragraph from “failed to pay child support” to “avoided trying to pay child support”. This was my error, and my error alone. I should have caught this mistake and changed it before posting this morning.

And sadly, it detracts from the bigger point. That in the interest of his self-advancement Steve Drazkowski neglected his child for his gain, from no longer working so he could run for elected office (which was the reason he tried to adjust his child support payments) to using the time that he was ordered to share with his daughter for campaigning.

“I also feel that one of the reasons my dad wants me to come stay with him is his campaign. All weekend we campaign. When I try suggesting we do something that doesn’t involve campaigning he rejects it. I’m tired of feeling used

That was a statement by his daughter from last year while Mr. Drazkowski was running for the Minnesota State Senate. A family member said that Mr. Drazkowski’s daughter “was going to the extremes of a hunger strike…” because she was afraid of her father.

Maybe Mr. Drazkowski used the lessons of last summer to become a better father — I hope so.

I’m sorry for writing something that was not correct. It was not my intent to do anything other than to expose Mr. Drazkowski’s actions.

And finally. I try to document all changes I make to posts that change their content (I’m still not perfect with layout and design, so I’ll regularly make changes to layout that I don’t document). I documented that I changed this post, as you can see above.

So you think a person who was arrested but not convicted of domestic violence is crazier than a guy who was convicted? His daughter also gave his nominating speech and appears with him in parades. Do you think Olson’s wife would be doing that? I suppose telling the whole story isn’t important if it doesn’t reinforce the innuendo you are trying to promote.

I think it is bad when Republicans use this tactic against Democrats (or each other) and it is no better when the DFL does it. Anybody who supports this kind of campaigning has nothing to complain about when the GOP promotes the ideas that Ellison is a woman beating terrorist using the same kind of information.

Since when has anybody on this site put weight in what Dick Day and Brodkorb say? I suppose once you start being a hypocrite you might as well go all the way.

  2. 2 2 purpleblogdog

    Time for some fact checking:

Mr. Drazkowski has never missed a single child support payment.

Mr. Drazkowski has remarried and lives with his daughter.

Mr. Drazkowski took this to court to get his name cleared.

These facts were out two years ago when he won 28B against an incumbent DFLer in the best year the DFL has had since Watergate.

Dragging a sixteen year old girl through the mud to go from a 20 seat majority to a 21 seat majority is a spectacular display of cruelty. Be proud Madam Speaker.

  3. 3 3 Chris

Regardless of what you think about Drazkowski’s handling of the State Senate endorsement, one thing cannot be denied: Drazkowski beat Steve Murphy on the 28B side of the district, where he is running for House now.

  4. 4 4 Michael B. Brodkorb

Sean: Do you have a source for this statement?

“Could it be that Drazkowski has a checkered past where he failed to pay child support”

  5. 5 5 Michael B. Brodkorb

    Sean:

I have posted a sworn affidavit which states that Drazkowski has always “fulfilled his child support responsibilities.”

Do you have a source for your statement that “Drazkowski has a checkered past where he failed to pay child support”?

The dedicated readers of Minnesota Democrats Exposed are waiting for your answer.

  6. 6 6 Dumbing it Down For the Left

MNPublius, this is a pretty serious charge, and you are not acknowledging that you totally lied when you posted that Drazkowski “failed to pay child support.”

All the documentation I’ve seen indicates that this is simply untrue.

So did you know you were lying when you posted that???

    Was your plan to mislead?

Do you feel worse about lying, or worse about getting caught?

Or do you feel equally bad for both lying, AND getting caught?

  7. 7 7 Curt

    Wow!!!
Our little Mikey’s all grown up!!!

    Micheal,

Mission accomplished! You’re fighting us over here so you won’t have to on your own website. Don’t be offended if we don’t shower you with flowers and candy.

  9. 9 9 Ghost of Eve Young

I never said Pfeilsticker was gay but I do support her.

  10. 10 10 Kerosene Hat

To be fair the line Sean posted was “Drazkowski has a checkered past where he avoided trying to pay child support”. While the grammar is questionable is obvious he did not say “Drazkowski has a checkered past where he failed to pay child support” as Michael would rather quote. There are plenty of valid reasons Drazkowski may have tried to reduce the amount he was obligated to pay in child support but without the complete story as to why this line simply dishonest in its implication.

The hypocrisy and crassness of this post doesn’t need to be pumped up with inaccurate quotes.

  11. 11 11 Michael B. Brodkorb

Nitro: Sean made a very serious charge that “Drazkowski has a checkered past where he failed to pay child support”. I’ve asked him to provide documentation of that claim. I have posted a sworn affidavit on my blog which states that that Drazkowski has always “fulfilled his child support responsibilities.”

  12. 12 12 Michael B. Brodkorb

    Kerosene Hat:

I have a screen capture on my blog…Broom made the claim “Drazkowski has a checkered past where he failed to pay child support”

It now appears that Sean has changed his post. I guess I have my answer for Sean to provide a source that “Drazkowski has a checkered past where he failed to pay child support”.

  13. 13 13 wtm

Uh, what about the use of the term “avoided”? Based on the public documents on this site and MDE’s site, it does not appear to me that tried to “avoid” making child care support payments. Rather, it appears he sought a reduction in child care payments because of a reduction in his income (due to running for office).

  14. 14 14 Michael B. Brodkorb

It appears that after being asked to provide a source for Sean Broom’s statement that “Drazkowski has a checkered past where he failed to pay child support”, someone had changed the post.

I guess these days are over

“MN Publius will always recognize when we were wrong, and this was clearly one of them;”

This was a disgusting false attack on a family and Sean Broom should be embarrassed.

  15. 15 15 Nitro

    Micheal,

Not to excuse this post, but on YOUR website, if every half truth, lie, and mislead was removed there wouldn’t be much left of it.

Why do you assume Minnesotans are stupid? Loser.

  16. 16 16 Promise Keeper

This was a very serious charge that Sean made — while he changed the original post, he has not acknowledged his changing the facts to fit his storyline.

This is a great illustration of why this blog will never gain any real credibility — in the blog community and in the mainstream media.

While many here ridicule MDE, he’d have the cajones to recognize his error (in reality, he’d never post such a lie — which it is — in the first place).

Sean, try to find the intestinal fortitude to admit you were, plain and simple, WRONG.

  17. 17 17 Michael B. Brodkorb

    Nitro:

Minnesota Democrats Exposed is a blog dedicated to a truthful discussion on the activities, statements, and tactics of Minnesota Democrats. Because the truth is sometimes so shocking, it is labeled by the left as a lie or half truth.

  18. 18 18 Kerosene Hat

Sean should apologize for this post and to Mr. Drazkowski. He should also apologize to the people that read this blog for changing the post without acknowledging it and attempting to mislead them.

  19. 19 19 Anonymous35

MB: Just the term “exposed” is slanted. Get real. Regardless of the credibility of this site, how can you honestly expect Minnesotans to believe that with a name like Minnesota Democrats Exposed, they can actually get a credible and genuinely objective “truthful discussion?” Ever studies the concept of “framing?”

  20. 20 20 Nitro

    Micheal,

“Because the truth is sometimes so shocking, it is labeled by the left as a lie or half truth.”

LOLOLS, another lie posted by Micheal. None of us are ever, ever SHOCKED by your site. We’re disgusted by you.

  21. 21 21 Chris

    Anonymous,

We all know that blogs are slanted to the blogger’s particular point of view. That said, some bloggers have a reputation for accuracy and others have a reputation for inaccuracy. It’s the reader’s job to figure it out.

I agree that Sean’s post was misleading and inaccurate. He could have taken a partisan shot without being inaccurate or misleading but he didn’t. Just as he said Murphy kicked Drazkowski’s butt in the last election. While Drazkowski was drubbed in the 28A side of the District (the Red Wing side), he actually beat Murphy in the 28B side of the district where he is running for House today.

  22. 22 22 Swiftee

Sean is merely continuing Matt’s long, proud tradition of posting complete BS and then pulling the shades when the light of truth comes a-shining in.

Too, while Sean is amply filling Matt’s shoes over here, there is a sock that has gone empty since Matt’s departure from George Soros’s puppet theater..

I’m guessing there is an offer from MiniMoni in the mail even as I write this. I’d like to be the first to offer my hearty congratulations to Sean. As a liar and muckraker Matt’s got nothin’ on ya kid.

  23. 23 23 Kerosene Hat

    A35 and Nitro,

Why don’t you hold the people here accountable at the same time you do so with MDE? Is dishonesty alright as long as it harms somebody you don’t like?

  24. 24 24 Sean

    I updated the above post.

Mike — I appreciate your commenting over here. You are a political operative par excellence’. Oh the things I have learned from watching you! Oh the things I will learn from watching you!

But, to use “disgusting false attack” when just Saturday you accused the DFL of using an image of a ‘scope’ from a rifle on the lit piece they sent out about Steve Drazkowski is absurd. What’s implicit in that is that the DFL advocates or supports physical violence against opposing candidates — and which is complete bunk.

Without getting to the fact that it looks nothing like a scope used for hunting or shooting purposes.

You know disgusting false attacks well Mike. You implied that Keith Ellison neglected his children, leaving them out in the cold, you exploited an incident with a woman who was mentally ill, and only showed one side of it with the purpose of destroying a mans career.

I always welcome your comments. I think you are an awe inspiring political operative, but when you start to play the hyperbole and pity-me card you just look silly. Sean

  25. 25 25 Sean

It’s fine to hold the people here accountable, and I hope our readers continue to do so.

I was unable to address these concerns in depth because I was at work and unable to get away. Like I said I updated the post above. Sean

  26. 26 26 Michael B. Brodkorb

Sean: Due to the sloppy blogging and false accusations of earlier today, I feel compelled to ask if you have a source for the quote from Drazkowski’s daughter?

  27. 27 27 Dan

Sean, you got busted. Own up to it. Attacking Brodborb for doing the same kind of thing is no response. We should be better than them.

  28. 28 28 Michael B. Brodkorb

    Sean:

The mailing has the appearance of a scope. I stand by what I said and wrote. I see no artistic reason for putting a scope-like circle over a candidate’s head.

  29. 29 29 mmcintee

    Hey Michael,
Have you finally revealed on your website that you were Ron Carey’s campaign manager while you were posting his press releases and interviewing him on your radio show?

  30. 30 30 Michael B. Brodkorb

    Hey McIntee:

Remember that entire post you wrote attacking me for being at a candidate forum and not writing about the event, when in fact I didn’t even attend the event. Did you ever issue a retracting - oh that’s right, you didn’t.

  31. 31 31 Michael B. Brodkorb

    I meant retraction….

  32. 32 32 Sean

I do indeed Mike. I will send it to you personally. Sean

  33. 33 33 Eric

He gave up his job, and his income, to pursue his ambition and he asked the court to grant him reprieve from his child support commitment to his daughter. It doesn’t matter if he missed a payment or didn’t miss a payment. It appears that he didn’t. What does matter is that you’ve got a guy running on family values that was trying to get out of paying child support while he was running.

Not to mention, he’s a whacko.

And Brodkorb, what does McIntee’s previous action have to do with the question he asked you?

  34. 34 34 Michael B. Brodkorb

No, I have no plans on disclosing my candidate preference in an inter-party leadership elections for the Republican Party of Minnesota.

  35. 35 35 Swiftee

Sean spun: “..you exploited an incident with a woman who was mentally ill, and only showed one side of it with the purpose of destroying a mans career.”

You mean Keith X Hakim’s former mistress? The one that signed an affidavit claiming she had been involved romanticly with Keith X?

The one who was forbidden to ever speak about the incident again; forbidden by a court order orchestrated by Keith X’s law talking minions?

The one that Keith X’s mouthpieces then went out and discredited (and continue to discredit) by calling her “mentally ill”?

Is that the woman you’re speaking of here?

Whew-whee!…you must be angling for a bigger Soros Sock Puppet Stipend¬© than the measely $1,500 they are offering!

  36. 36 36 Anonymous35

KH: Come on man, you know better than that. There has been several times I have come out against things said here. To be honest, I don’t personally know any of the history that goes along with this blog post, so I didn’t really comment on it. As I was reading through the comment section, I just couldn’t resist pointing out how even the title of MDE is slanted, and automatically frames the Dems as having something to hide. That said, I think we would both agree that both parties are completely screwed to the core, and anyone surprised by crookery on either side has not been paying attention.

Lastly, it is really annoying when people assume that just because you are criticizing - in that particular moment - one site and not the other, that you are hypocritical. That drives me batty. I simply was pointing out something that I think anyone in their right mind should consider when reading MDE. Alas, you are completely correct in your statements though.

  37. 37 37 Kerosene Hat

    Sean,

Thank you for the correction and update. When using information like this is is vitally important to cite sources and make sure things are current. Including charges that have been dismissed or might have legitimate reasons reduces the credibility for anything else contained in the post. If you have credible information of Drazkowski abusing his daughter (that is not standard teenage angst and parental conflict) then post it cleanly and simply with citations. Attacking somebody by repeating rumors, backing them up with statements made by people with a political agenda is not an honest form of debate.

  38. 38 38 mmcintee

“My life is one big disclosure”
A prominent quote from Michael Brodkob’s “disclosure” page.

“No, I have no plans on disclosing my candidate preference in an inter-party leadership elections for the Republican Party of Minnesota.”
Michael Brodkorb when asked why he didn’t reveal he was Republican Party Chair Ron Carey’s campaign manager when posting Carey’s press releases on his blog and giving Carey a prominent interview on a right-wing talk radio station less than a week before the Republican Party Chair election.

This illustrates the biggest difference between the DFL and the MN GOP:Transparency.

  39. 39 39 Swiftee

“This illustrates the biggest difference between the DFL and the MN GOP:Transparency.”

Truer words were never spoken my friend, we can see right through you.

  40. 40 40 mmcintee

Where did you learn that playground retort? Third grade? Good grief!

  41. 41 41 Kerosene Hat

    mmcintee,

You mean like the transparency between Intenza and Hatch? Maybe you mean the transparency during the conference committees at the end of this past session when most of the budget was written between a handful of people with no input because of the desire to finish on time. How about the fact that the leading candidate for the Democratic nomination to run against Norm hosted his own radio show, was paid far more than any other host with a distribution and ratings his size by a company going bankrupt, and doesn’t like to talk to the local media?

  42. 42 42 Michael B. Brodkorb

McIntee: On my blog…I will remind you that I said on my radio show that I was supporting Carey for re-election. My name also appeared on his letterhead. I was wearing a Carey for Chair shirt on the day of the election.

On my blog, McIntee, on my blog.

No, I have no plans on disclosing my candidate preference in an inter-party leadership elections for the Republican Party of Minnesota on my blog dedicated to exposing Minnesota Democrats.

  43. 43 43 Swiftee

    Truth hurts don’t it McIntee?

  44. 44 44 mmcintee

    On your blog:
Many press releases from Ron Carey you posted in the immediate weeks before before the GOP chair election with no disclosure that you were his campaign manager.

How much were you paid for being Carey’s campaign manager Michael?

  45. 45 45 Swiftee

Brodkorb asked Sean: “Due to the sloppy blogging and false accusations of earlier today, I feel compelled to ask if you have a source for the quote from Drazkowski’s daughter?”

Sean responded: “I do indeed Mike. I will send it to you personally.”

TJS reminds everyone that we all, as readers of MNPublius, were equally abused by Sean’s mendacity and wonders why Sean doesn’t personally provide a source for such a pernicious accusation for all to, well, in light of the previously mentioned false declarations, do the necessary fact checking.

  46. 46 46 NorthernDebater

Thanks for the shout out Sean! Don’t listen to their attacks. These are the people that have no problem calling Keith Ellison a terrorist and not apologizing for it or thinking its a bad thing, but when you use legitimate claims and quotes they spam you non-stop. Stay strong!

  47. 47 47 Swiftee

“How much were you paid for being Carey’s campaign manager Michael?”

I don’t think that Mike has to even respond to that question until Matt discloses WHO was paying him to impersonate a “journalist” on MiniMoni…while he was also working for the DFL caucus.

Transparency McIntee, it’s all about transparency, right? Right?

  48. 48 48 Drew Emmer

Michael Brodkorb did not need to disclose anything about his work with Ron Carey within the republican party in the context of the chairman’s race. MDE never posted on the chairman’s race. Had MDE posted on the chairman’s race I would expect Michael to disclaim his position on the steering committee. Michael did disclaim his involvement on Ron’s committee on his radio show(The Final Word 1280am 3-5pm Saturday).

Accusing Michael of failing to disclose is abject nincompoopism.

    Speaking of nincompoopism.

Where is the discussion here on MNPUBLIUS about the disgusting hit piece the DFL put out on Steve Drazkowski?

That piece is preposterous. How can Brian Melendez pretend to know Steve’s motives by declaring that he both “turned his back on his daughter” (patently false) and “tried to avoid paying child support” (patently false). Draz did what he was supposed to do. When his income dropped he petitioned the court to have his child support reduced. But no one from the DFL bothered to find out what the result of that petitioning of the court was.

It was a cheap shot at Draz in place of anything constructive about your candidate because the DFL knows they are massively outmatched in 28B. If Draz was not a public figure I doubt the assertion made in that scum piece would be defensible against a defamation charge.

  49. 49 49 Sean

“TJS reminds everyone that we all, as readers of MNPublius, were equally abused by Sean’s mendacity and wonders why Sean doesn’t personally provide a source for such a pernicious accusation for all to, well, in light of the previously mentioned false declarations, do the necessary fact checking.”

I could post the entire affidavit where Mr. Drazkowski’s daughter details the fact that her forces her to campaign with her when she doesn’t want to, that she lost a serious amount of weight because of the fact that she couldn’t eat in light of the stress and disappointment she has in seeing her father, and how most damningly she doesn’t respect her father.

But then I’d be no better than Mike Brodkorb.

I’m sure if he doubts the authenticity of the document I gave him he’ll share that with all of us. Sean

  50. 50 50 Kerosene Hat

    Sean,

If you going to make accusation you have to give the proper information to allow those accusations to be verified. What you have just done is to make the accusations and then pretend you didn’t by saying that doing so would make you no better than Michael. To late you already did it. If you have information that can stand up to scrutiny then post it. Until then quit hiding behind rumors and adding to them little by little as a method of defending yourself.

Additionally I don’t know anything about Drazkowski or care if he gets elected.

  51. 51 51 Drew Emmer

Pretending to take the high road isn’t working Sean. Have some balls and post the affadavit so we can all see it for what it is.

The mail piece you distributed was disgusting. If you want to publish divorce proceeding documents to smear this candidate then get after it. Throw the disposable 16 year old farther under the bus. Why should you care about her welfare?

  52. 52 52 Kerosene Hat

You can’t make the personal political and then claim the high road because you didn’t post proof. If Sean is correct then posting the proof and standing behind it IS the high road. Rumor mongering is the low road.

  53. 53 53 Michael B. Brodkorb

    Sean:

Don’t try to drag me into your mess. You discussed the affidavit in your comments. You’ve dragged Drazkowski’s daughter into your attacks on her father. Your claims of taking the high road are laughable.

You’ve taken MN Publius to a new low. Congrats Sean, I’m sure Matt and Zach are proud.

  54. 54 54 Promise Keeper

Sean — you should be ashamed of yourself. You’ve taken the Minnesota blogosphere to a new low. A record low even for this website.

Perhaps Brian Melendez will stroke you for “all you do for the DFL” — but your utter disregard for the truth and accuracy is appalling.

    How embarassing. How un-Minnesotan.

  55. 55 55 gld

It’s shameless that Shawn would stoop to such a level as to drag an innocent girl into his political character assassination.

  56. 56 56 Drew Emmer

Everyone I’ve heard from that has spent time with Steve and his family during this campaign report that they are all getting along very well. If you want to make a public charge about what a 15 year old child’s feelings were in September 2006 under dramatically different family circumstances then bring it and bring it now.

Is anyone in the DFL trying to sell Linda Pfeilsticker on her merits or is it just all mud all the time over there?

We fully expect huge union money to make this a 5:1 or better spending race. But of course we won’t know those details until January 2008 thanks to completely ineffective campaign finance laws.

Bummer that you don’t think Linda can win on her merits and that you feel compelled to go so obscenely negative. But win at all costs. Of course. We’re beginning to understand the new face of DFL campaigning.

  57. 57 57 Eric

Draz being a fraud doesn’t have anything to do with the relative merits of the DFL candidate. He’s selling himself as a big family values guy and he quit his job to campaign full time and tried to reduce or eliminate his child support so he could pursue his ambition. That’s not putting your family first. He had an obligation to his daughter, he tried to shy away from it so that he would benefit. That’s not placing much value on your family, in my book.

As to bringing the daughter in this, it’s unnecessary. Don’t post the documents. If people want to see them, I’m sure they could head down to Wabasha or wherever and look at them. Draz’s douchebaggery is evident enough in his actions, no need to go further than that.

  58. 58 58 Nitro

What a bunchh of desparate posts from a bunch of desparate Republicans who see the writing on the wall for their Party.

The spin and talking points you righties have forced down our throats the last 6 years have consequences, and mark my words, nothing Publius is doing is going to change your fate.

Your embarassing “ideology of hate” party is OVER. Either change it or prepare yourselves for being a smaller minority than you Republicans already are.

Of course you trolls declared mission accomplished years ago. Great job!

  59. 59 59 Chris

I just love how the DFL says they are for the children and then race to how quickly they can exploit someone else’s child for political gain.

The hit piece against Drazkowski says he turned his back on his daughter. Sean says Drazkowski missed child support payments. Neither are true. It’s pretty pathetic when they go after a 16 year old girl to get at her father because he is running for office. Talk about child exploitation.

  60. 60 60 Nitro

    Chris,

You ignore the fact that the Republican Party has expoited 9/11 for political gain. What could be more disgusting, Bush backing troll?

  61. 61 61 Eric

As far as I’m concerned, he did turn his back on his daughter. He effectively quit his job and tried to shy away from his obligations so he could attempt to realize his own ambitions. If that’s not turning your back on your kid, I don’t know what is.

  62. 62 62 Chris

    Nitro = permanent ignore.

  63. 63 63 Sean

I shouldn’t have posted that last paragraph. It was wrong, for all the wrong reasons. It wasn’t just a simple thinking too fast for my fingers, it wasn’t right.

The end all be all is, the document is real. It is not rumor and innuendo, it is a legal document that you all can access if you want to, but it is a document that contains the name of a minor, and I’m not gonna post it. Today, tomorrow, or ever. If you think the document isn’t real, then so be it. But, I’m sure that Mike would have shared that with you as well. I sent it to him because it’s wrong to even think of exploiting someones kids for political gain and I suck for having even thought of it. Sean

  64. 64 64 Nitro

    What’s the matter Chris?

Don’t you think the Republican Party has exploited 9/11 for political gain for years?

    What are you afraid of?

Perhaps your arrogance and hubris aren’t as justified as you thought they were back in March and April here, when calling people names and insults was your way of ‘winning” and argument”.

Loser. there I win, on your level, pally.

  65. 65 65 Chris

    Sean,

What is the difference between cherry picking a quote out of the affidavit and posting the whole document? It is still exploiting someone else’s child for political gain. The situation involving Kinsey Drazkowski and her mother and father is not untypical of millions of other parents seeking custody of their children in a divorce case.

  66. 66 66 wtm

    Nitro,

YOU, not Chris, are the master of ad hominem attacks and cheap shots. Get a grip, and please don’t post another comment until you wipe the froth from your mouth and create something insult-free at the keyboard.

  67. 67 67 Sean

Because I’m not going to publicize the name the girl in question.

edit: and it should be noted, I didn’t cherry pick the comment. The comment has been posted here, and on other blogs previously. Sean

The affidavit you sent me does not contain bold text like you posted. Did you add the emphasis?

  71. 71 71 Michael B. Brodkorb

…for effects? did you add the bold text for effects?

  72. 72 72 Sean

I did Michael, and I forgot to document that the emphasis was indeed added.

    My sincerest apologies. Sean

    Sean:

Is anything accurate on your blog today? I’m sure it’s tough to see the keyboard through all the mud you have tossed around today. Let’s see: you made a false charge against Steve Drazkowski, you later apologized. You drag his daughter into this and then mischaracterize her affidavit, again earning another apology from you.

It’s been a tough day for the truth on MN Publius.

  77. 77 77 Drew Emmer

Eric: “As far as I’m concerned, he did turn his back on his daughter. He effectively quit his job and tried to shy away from his obligations so he could attempt to realize his own ambitions. If that’s not turning your back on your kid, I don’t know what is.”

That must be why they live together and Draz pays all of her bills and attends all of her activities. That’s turning his back on his daughter.

The notion that he turned his back on his daughetr is a lie. The DFL can’t shake the truth about their actions. Draz petitioned the court to adjust his child support payment. The court denied his request. End of story. Until a bunch of DFL clowns decided to try and manufacture something out of it.

  78. 78 78 Nitro

    Micheal,

If we attacked you on your website every day, we would be wasting our time, because you’re an idiot.

What excuse to you have for arguing here?

  79. 79 79 gld

Shawn, this is the second time TODAY that you’ve had to apologize for an inaccurate blog post. Caught by MDE both times!

Get some ethics man, this is becoming shameless!

  80. 80 80 purpleblogdog

In case you have not yet figured this out, this election is a big deal.

Linda Pfeilsticker has been given a total pass from the MSM who would have exacted lengthy surveys from any Republican candidate in a special election in a swing-left district.

The DFL’s shameless attacks, dragging a sixteen year old girl through the mud, are revolting.

There is a little problem when you don’t get your facts straight. You are breaking the law.

Everyone knows that the DFL has every advantage in this race. It is stunning that you always find a way to screw it up however. The sloppy rush, and the anger always screw it up for you. Keep it up.

  81. 81 81 Dumbing it Down For the Left

Wow, that’s twice in one day you’ve attempted to deceive your readers on this same subject.

Want to give us a sense of which parts we should think are credible?

(And this time, why don’t you just apologize in the posts for each false statement, it will make it easier for us all to keep track of).

  82. 82 82 Nitro

The use of images of 9/11 during Bush’s campaign in 2004 were shameless.

    Considering this.

“Meanwhile, as the administration continued to focus on the re-making the Middle East, the CIA sent President Bush a daily intelligence briefing on August 6, 2001, saying the agency had “detected patterns of suspicious activity in this country consistent with preparations for hijackings,” no one in the administration acted on the report.

The subject title on the memo says more in a few words than the likely illegal NSA domestic spy program Bush and Cheney claim would have helped prevent 9/11 if it were in place back then: “Bin Laden determined to attack inside the U.S.”

But that did not appear to have an impact on President Bush’s domestic agenda. In an August 31, 2001, speech Bush gave to celebrate the launch of the White House’s new web site, national security was last on a list of major issues Bush planned to deal with, according to a transcript of his speech.”

Bush was, is, and continues to be shameless. Defend him, or get lost. American troops have died because of Bush. What has Sean done? For some reason, you trolls gave Bush a “free pass”.

  83. 83 83 Chris

And innocent brain cells have died because of Nitro. Nitro = permanent ignore.

  84. 84 84 Nitro

Yah those links are so “crazy”.

  85. 85 85 mrw

Michael - You regularly post items on your blog with sections of text highlighted that were not highlighted in the original. You also almost never indicate that the emphasis was added by you. Where is your apology?

  86. 86 86 Nitro

Chris, you’re a loser. Chris = permanent ignore.

  87. 87 87 Michael B. Brodkorb

I owe no apology for highlighting text. Sean bolded the text of a court document to add emphasis.

I rarely bold any text on my posts and when I use bold, it usually appears in the quoted text.

Another swing and a miss from the defunct Minnesota Republican Watch.

  88. 88 88 Nitro

“I rarely bold any text on my posts and when I use bold, it usually appears in the quoted text.”

Good. Keep up the great work.

  89. 89 89 Chris

    Nitro,

Sticks and stones can break my bones, but you are still a meathead.

  90. 90 90 Nitro

Well good, at least that permanent ignore is over now. Republicans stuck to their lies as much as you have, and they proved the lie like you have.

Great Job! Another 6 months and I’ll be gone, right? You’ve turned a corner.

  91. 91 91 Nitro

    MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!

  92. 92 92 mrw

Michael: Your position is that it is acceptable to alter documents when their text is posted in Minnesota Democrats Exposed, but it is not acceptable to do so on MN Publius. This makes no sense.

  93. 93 93 Chris

    Nitro = permanent ignore, still.

  94. 94 94 Chris

And Nitro, the reason for the permanent ignore is because you offer nothing intelligent to pay attention to. Where is the debate and the ideas? All you do is parrot far left web sites, call names and hurl insults. Reading what you have to say actually kills brain cells. Quit the vitriol and engage in something worthwhile. Until then, Nitro = permanent ignore.

  95. 95 95 Nitro

Your “ignore” Chris, as if you control this site, is the best fodder I could ever ask for.

    Thank you.

  97. 97 97 Nitro

    Here’s something worthwile.

Since Bush took office I pay more for healthcare, gas, phone service, FOOD, utilities, my mortgage, and debt.

    Thank you, Chris.

I’ll be paying for this for the rest of my life.

**whew** I feel so much better

My beautiful children should not pay for Scrooge’s birthday party!

  98. 98 98 Swiftee

Moonbats like to give themselves fanciful alias’s that they believe depict something of themselves.

In “Nitro’s” case, I guessing it has something to do with his head exploding whenever Michael Moore takes a dump and out of his fat, pimpled ass comes Nitro’s head a-tumblin’.

But I’m just saying that because he is an online asshat, not that I’ve actually seen Moore dump out his head or anything.

  99. 99 99 Nitro

    WOW,

Thank you swiftee for helping me. LMFAO

Where do I send the check? ……

  100. 100 100 Swiftee

”**whew** I feel so much better”

I’m guessing that this is a residual memory that “Nitro” has of the first thing he hears when Michael Moore craps his head out.

But that is just a guess, not that I’ve actually heard Moore express relief after crapping out another moonbat asshat.

  101. 101 101 Swiftee

“Thank you swiftee for helping me.”

Like I say asshat, I haven’t been anywhere near Micheal Moore when he dumps you out of his fat, pimpled ass.

But thanks for thinking of me!

  102. 102 102 Nitro

    Exponentially,
