As Matt goes off to play with his new toys and eat cake in the Rockies, and Zack studiously posts about actual, important news, I’d’ like to share my afternoon with you.
- Lunch at Holy Land
- Shopping for tomorrows grilling extravaganza (olive stuffed pork tenderloin, grilled corn on the cob and bacon wrapped asparagus)
- Hitting up Surdyks Wine Sale and buying several bottles of Fat Tire
- And later tonight, seeing my man-crush, Sting in concert.
Needless to say, I’m probably having a way better afternoon than you are. It’s hard to be me.
Have a safe and healthy Fourth of July, and tomorrow while boating, barbecuing, or simply bumbling about take a second to read the Declaration of Independence. It’s a small document, simple and easy to read. But it’s place, and it’s importance in history far outshines it beautiful prose.
Do it for your kids sake.
