Marc Ambinder is a Jerk

I’ve been working hard this week to avoid any Harry Potter spoilers (don’t worry, this post does not contain any). I won’t read any article or blog posting that even has Harry Potter in the title, just because I don’t want to risk it. I’m going up to a cabin with no internet this weekend, so I thought I would have time to read the book for myself.

Nope.

Marc Ambinder is a reporter for the Atlantic and the Hotline. He is a really good political reporter and I enjoy his work a great deal. He is also a real jackass. Today he wrote a post called “The Morning Verbs” in which he links to various political stories (sort of like Polinaut’s Daily Digest). The first three were about John McCain, Ron Paul and Mitt Romney. The fourth sentence, without warning, revealed the ending of the seventh Harry Potter book as revealed by the Baltimore Sun. Marc Ambinder just ruined the new Potter book for me. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still going to read it, but I’ll be snarling and swearing at Ambinder the whole time.
