Bush will likely nominate Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff to the position, senior administration officials said.
“Alberto Gonzales was never the right man for this job,” said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on Monday. “He lacked independence, he lacked judgment, and he lacked the spine to say no to Karl Rove.” Rove, another longtime Bush official and his top political adviser, also resigned this month.

Oh gee what a surprise, Its not like I didn’t know that was gonna happen. I even called it on the Patriot 1280am a few months back.
I have a very disturbing “Gonzales” story that the DFL would loooooooooove to hear about.
Presently I’m tied up in a U.S. Senate race as a potential I.P. canidate. I’m sure many of you DFL people will hear this Gonzales story because I EXPECT alot of you hanging out with my campaign during this particular race.
Gee, I hate to see the word “embattled” in the leadoff, makes poor Gonzo seem like the victim. How about “Incompetent”?
