Sex changes tend to be quite successful, party changes much less so- look at the experience of a former St.Paul council member. And while supporting transsexuals and other gay folk as a legislator didn't stop Arne Carlson from winning an 8 year residency in the governor's mansion, ultimately he found himself abandoned by the republican party he changed to. Fellow party switcher Norm waited too long, and the accidental seantorno finds himself a republican when republicans ain't popular any more. For transsexuals, a 2nd surgury to return to the original sex is pretty much impossible- they just plain run out of tissue to work with. For politicans, they just plain run out of credibility!

Norm has a big strapping 21 year old son, as well as a 17 year old daughter. Both are military age.

Picture here:

Are they going to Iraq? Why Not?

Norm is just another Chickenhawk republican.

I loved this quote from his website:
"In 1996, Norm became increasingly frustrated with a Democratic Party that he felt was moving away from Minnesota's hardworking middle class roots and values. He joined the Republican Party"

As we all know, Republicans represent the hard workin' people.

Well, when Norm proclaims himself a DFLer again next summer in a last ditch effort to save his job, we progressives will show him just how non- partisan we can be!

Amy Klobuchar isn't having interest group money and advertising money spent to knock her down. The base is NOT happy with her. Take a look at the two articles linked by MDE.

It's actually a sign that the anti-war people are partisan, in that they aren't picketting her office (why aren't they - they should?)
