For-profit health care should be competitive and fair to people who depend on their perscriptions to survive. What I see is the industry caring more about their share holders and CEOs.

Forest Labs, #4 is big pharma, same with #7 Caremark Rx. These collective CEO’s had a 54% pay increase that year alone. These pay increases have happen year after year after year, and guess what? That money comes from somewhere. It’s coming out of the pockets of sick people who need healthcare. Isn’t that just dandy?

Just look at the Forbes article this week about how well the richest among us are doing.

Nope. From what I’ve seen, they want to get their taxes reduced. Althought the top 1% pay less of a percentage of their income in taxes than the middle class, they want our children to pay for Bush’s war-on-a-credit-card. They, apparently, are not interested in sacrificing their gold and riches to help the effort.

These issues are going to play a role in the election next year, because everyone who has to struggle to make ends meet in America is paying attention now. That, suddenly, is a whole lot of people.
