Eva,

The article doesn't say that polar bears are being killed by global warming. The article repeats the claims made by Greenpeace and others but also gives another point of view. It also states the ludicrous claims that polar bears will be extinct because of global warming.

It's a two year old article. Since then, it's been shown that polar bears have not been killed by global warming.

Lordy, lordy. Things haven't changed much here in the past 24 hours. Remember the original story of Rumpelstiltskin? He was cock-sure the princess could not possibly ferret out the true fact that was his name. But she did. And when she said it out loud, Rumpelstiltskin went ballistic. Sreamed, yelled, carried on, and finally grabbed hold of his ankles and tore himself up the middle. This is a cautionary tale for trolls.

These Republicans have been at this with the Nobel Prize for a long time. Note the comment below:

National Review a few months after Martin Luther King Jr. won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1964:

"For years now, the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King and his associates have been deliberately undermining the foundations of internal order in this country. With their rabble-rousing demagoguery, they have been cracking the "cake of custom" that holds us together. With their doctrine of "civil disobedience," they have been teaching hundreds of thousands of Negroes -- particularly the adolescents and the children -- that it is perfectly alright to break the law and defy constituted authority if you are a Negro-with-a-grievance; in protest against injustice. And they have done more than talk. They have on occasion after occasion, in almost every part of the country, called out their mobs on the streets, promoted "school strikes," sit-ins, lie-ins, in explicit violation of the law and in explicit defiance of the public authority. They have taught anarchy and chaos by word and deed -- and, no doubt, with the best of intentions -- and they have found apt pupils everywhere, with intentions not of the best. Sow the wind, and reap the whirlwind."

Will Herberg, "'Civil Rights' and Violence: Who Are the Guilty Ones?", The National Review Sept. 7th, 1965

It's true, the Wall Street Journal's editorial page is pretty right-wing, but I still think they qualify as mainstream media.

Eva,

Nobody in the mainstream thinks polar bears are drowning because of global warming.

Eva,

Where are your facts? Oh that's right you read the same Media Matters/MoveOn/Huffington Post/Daily Kos crap that Nitro cites to. It's called reading a newspaper once in awhile. Maybe you should try it.

That's right, Nitro. Be fair. Remember the facts have an anti-Bush bias!
