Another Day, Another Bad Poll For Coleman

On the heels of yesterday’s bombshell SurveyUSA Poll which showed Norm Coleman tied with Al Franken and Mike Ciresi in head-to-head matchups, Rasmussen Reports released a poll last night in conjunction with the local Fox affiliate showing the two DFL candidates within striking distance of the incumbent.

Coleman - 46%
Ciresi - 43%

Coleman - 49%
Franken - 42%

Joe Bodell has a chart up which illustrates the hard truth for Norm Coleman, every poll released since July of this year has shown Franken and Ciresi within single digits of Coleman, with the incumbent below the 50% threshold.

These polls prove one fact beyond a doubt, both Ciresi and Franken can beat Norm Coleman. He is extraordinarily vulnerable.

Assuming that the same people were polled on each question, what this poll shows is that Franken’s negatives are having an impact. A generic Democrat beats Norm Coleman. Al Franken will not.

People need to wake up and realize the only way we lose this race is if Al Franken is the nominee. He’s got big negatives now, and those will only get worse once the Republicans take to the airwaves to take him down. And its not like Franken is a great liberal. Why people bend over backwards to excuse his war support and waffling on withdrawal is a mystery to me. He’s raised a ton of money but most of it is from out of state. He’s a bad bad candidate. The emperor has no clothes. Stop drinking the kool-aid, people.

Another day, another bad poll day for Al Franken. Franken has the highest negatives of any candidate for the U.S. Senate at 48% statewide. Franken also had highest intensity of negatives, with 34% of saying the had a “very unfavorable” opinion of Franken. This number is up from their poll in September.

I think that Brodkorb is using reverse psychology here. See, if he rips Franken, the Franken kool-aid drinkers interpret that as a plus for Franken. Brodkorb is actually doing us a favor by pointing out how bad Franken is while we can still do something about it.

He’s not good enough, he’s not even close to being smart enough, and doggone it, people in Minnesota hate him.

Am impressed to see that Cerisi places this high.

Am even more gratified that Coleman is tumbling down the pedestal he put himself upon. He has lashed himself to the Bush sinking ship. —  — Brodkorb must be SO LONELY on his own forum,
if he has to come here for attention.

    Group hug for Brodkorb.

Even worse for Mikey is that the press no longer pays any attention to him now that they realize he is a paid shill for the GOP.

Now watch he’ll come here again and say he is not paid by the GOP, am not am not am not, waaaaaaaaaaaa…..please pay attention to me waaaaaaaaaaaa….

Nice try at spin, Brodkorb, but no matter how many times you wave your hands in the air and scream “Bad for Franken”, the poll is bad for Coleman, and at this point in the cycle it’s the incumbent’s numbers that are meaningful, not the challengers.

Come back to reality, eh? we get that you hate Franken. We get that you’re a shill for Coleman and the GOP. But come on. There’s no way that you can look at the polling numbers for Coleman and think this is somehow good.

What’s next, accusations that the poll is somehow flawed and taken over by liberals?

how can a 49 to 42 lead for Coleman be anything but good? yes Michael is a shill, but so is every swinging dick on this blog

Your SOS Ritchie is as corrupt as the day is long..and yet you seem to think that a poll done 1 year ahead of an election is big news…a poll that shows your candidate Al Franken (D- Hollywood )is losing

Team Brodkorp doesn’t want to talk about the single-layer version of this race. Bad-mouth Franken, bad-mouth Ciresi, it doesn’t really matter. Team Brodkorp knows that supporters of either camp will toe the line all in order to spank Bush’s Poodle back to Brooklyn, NY.

I’m a Ciresi fan. If he doesn’t win, I’m very happy to throw support to Franken. I’m more than sure the opposite is true.

We’re all here working on one primary goal: “We’re going to get rid of Norman Coleman.”

    Peace, Love and Happiness, FF
