Good for him. I know I'll never be able to get the extreme liberal wing of the Democrat party to see why a victory in Iraq would be good. But at least MN Publius wants victory. Given the crazy stuff I've heard from Democrats lately, it is nice to hear a Democrat talk reasonably on an issue. Big Kahuna -

The democRats have invested deeply in the idea that this was a miserable failure and President Bush is at fault. This is what they used to turn the tide in the last election and they would like to use it again, which means they will need to keep any good news down so the masses do not find out things may be getting better. Come November you will see a parade of democRats claiming how awful Iraq is again. Yep you are correct in the fact they do want the US to “not win” if not “lose”.
