Meet the Newt!

Norm Gingrich
Norm wants you to meet Newt! Check out this amazing opportunity:

Please join us for the 5th Annual Victory Celebration

Tuesday, December 4, 2007
U.S. Senator Norm Coleman and
Special Guest Speaker Newt Gingrich

6:45 pm: Cocktail Reception | $250 per person
8:00 pm: Victory Celebration | $25 per person
(doors open at 7:00 pm)

The Downtown University Club
Saint Paul, Minnesota

I think this all speaks for itself so I won’t drown it in too much commentary, but I can’t help but say one thing: Does anyone else think it’s funny that Republicans are so nostalgic for a time when Bill Clinton was president?

  • I do not get your point… i cannot stand Gingrich…it seems as though you are correct, Coleman is a chameleon

  • Guess I don’t get the reference to a ‘Victory Celebration’. Did someone win something?

  • $250 for a Cocktail reception?? That seems awfully pricey for a glass of wine just to see Newt. Are there munchies with the wine???

  • Is Norm trying to give us excellent fodder for the campaign?

Norm with Newt, Norm with Bush, Norm with horrible voting record, Norm US Senator 2003-2009?

  • norm with a 53% approval rating

  • Meeting Newt is a frickin’ bargain! You want to talk about money dredging? Well my friend, you’re talking about Democrats.

So, let’s summarize kids. For a measly C note, you too can be a DFL poltroon…

I’m guessing there won’t be many of the “real families” that the Democrat party loves to pander to…maybe they can have their own little “thing” in the kitchen.

  • BTW…maybe one of you can tell me what “holiday” these moonbats are celebrating?

  • There are big donors to the Democratic Party as there are to the GOP. It’s just the GOP puts a bigger price tag to their Candidate fundraisers more often than not to stay ahead of the money race.

One day in April 2006, there was a $500 a plate breakfast at the Ramada for Gil with John McCain, followed by a $1,000 a plate Lunch at the Radisson on the same day. 30 pelple showed up for the Breakfast and 50 for the lunch, the Rochester P-B reported. Not a bad take for one day after the hotels were paid. But still a bit steep unless one had the money to burn.

  • Bigger payoffs, because their side can afford it?

I find it instructive to note that in Stephen Colbert’s joke candidacy for office South Carolina —

it cost “$2500 to register on the Dem side,
and $25,000 was it - on the Republican side!
