Michael Barrett, Republican Party of Minnesota Vice Chair for District 7 and failed 2006 Congressional Candidate, was kicked off the conservative blog “True North” today for plagiarizing the work of “doubleplusundead”, another conservative blogger.

Barrett is a real nut. No one takes this guy seriously (except for himself and maybe Andy Aplikwoski).
Barrett and Aplikowski fancy themselves as the conscience of the GOP, which is truly laughable. Both have two bit blogs with readership in the single digits. When either of them enters a room, people become very nervous and uncomfortable.
Barrett's half-hearted "apology" spoke volumes to his character — the guy got caught plagiarizing! If Barrett had any integrity, he'd resign his post as a party officer.
OK, here we go, everyone knows that this guy is a total loser already. This just cements to the everyone else what MOST people in the GOP already know about this guy. I mean, come on, he runs with AAA, need I say more? Talk about a circle jerk with those two, no one likes them but they won’t seem to go away.
They won’t go away because you keep electing them. Its not like the public is electing them, its the internal rank and file and decision makers of the party. You can also kick him to the curb.
AAA (Andy Aprilowski of Residual Forces) is also a contributor to True North.
I will warn other not to hold you breath on that. GOP M.O. is for them to rally around their disgraced representatives.
It is the activists in the 7th CD that elected this guy, not anyone in St. Paul. AAA is a contributor on True North because someone felt bad for him. No one rallies to his defense because he is a no-talent ass clown.
Come on now, we are talking about a guy who the term “Stop the Invasion” on his campaign signs last year. He is a kook and hopefully he will wield no more influence in the GOP.
I’m really trying to disagree with you GOPgal but, I can’t. You’re actually a bit more harsh on ol’ Triple A than I am.

Thanks DJZ, it is really nice when we can agree on something. I am possibly too harsh (though I don’t think I am) on AAA because I have seen him in action at party functions and it is really embarrassing to know that I am in the same party as that clown! I wish people could have seen him last year at the election night party when he was drunk and wandering around aimlessly looking like he had just slept in a gutter, what a loser!
Now back to issue at hand, Barrett, not sure what else can cover on him. He and AAA are like two peas in a pod, real losers those two are, I thought a while back that the state exec committee should censure him for being a complete idiot, now they have a real reason to do so!
The important think to remember here is that True North did the right thing. Barrett was wrong and he was dismissed…no questions, no excuses, no qualifiers.
This is the sort of integrity one expects of a group of coonservatives.

The local Soros blog (Minimoni) felt the need to post a “code of ethics” which the puppet staff regularly breaches with impunity…TN felt no compunction to post such a smarmy pledge; when you do the right thing you don’t have to hide behind specious promises.
They only did that after the story had gotten to Ace of Spaces and some other national blogs. The bloggers over at TN have never had problems with Katherine Kersten’s regular habit of plagiarizing.
The only AAAsshat posted that on TN was because he actually somehow is his own delusional little world thinks that he is a journalist and somehow is a moral authority in the GOP.
Like I said before, hopefully now we can get rid of Barrett and he can take AAA with him. There has got to be plenty of good trailer parks in the 7th CD, right?

I was at the 6th congressional meeting when Andy Aplikowski was running for vice chair - he came in second as I recall - so he had support. He also won reelection as senate district chair - that may have been because no one else was interested in the job - but it speaks volumes for that senate district.
