Just got an advisory from Jim Hovland’s campaign. He’s going to officially announce his candidacy in the 3rd District on Monday at 10:30 at the Southwest Transit Station (located at Highway 5 and Prairie Center Drive in Eden Prairie).
Hovland is a former Republican and the current Mayor of Edina.

Glad to see him making this official. I think that the body of work in public service that Hovland has quietly built will be compelling. Prior results are one indication of how effective someone could represent us.
I’m not ready to endorse Hovland, but I think he will appeal to many.
