I don’t like most national political groups and bloggers. MyDD, DailyKos, MoveOn etc. Basically because they’re long winded nitwits with very little local experience. (note: there are national groups, unions and some interest groups that decentralize their work in states which are a different animal entirely) They know about as much about the political situation in Minnesota as I do about Oklahoma which is to say very little.
Dear MoveOn.org — thank you for proving me right again! From an email sent to what I can only figure is their thousands if not hundreds of thousands of Minnesota members.
Dear MoveOn Member,
With Tuesday’s results, it’s clear that the race for the Presidential nomination may well turn on voters in Minnesota. Why? The Democratic and Republican nominees are likely to be decided on “Super Tuesday,” February 5, when 24 states (including go to the polls.
But in order to participate in this big decision, you have to be registered to vote, and the deadline is coming up fast. In Minnesota, your registration must be postmarked by Wednesday, January 16th. You may think you’re registered, but it’s worth making sure — and we’ve made it easy.
(emphasis theirs)
You do not have to be registered to caucus in the state of Minnesota. For the folks at MoveOn this is the Minnesota Secretary of States office. And this is a handy dandy little document (available after 2! clicks) detailing what you need for the caucuses. You know… just… fyi.

To everyone, Republican or Democratic or Independent or whatever, PARTICIPATE!!!! Go to your district caucus and yell, holler, carry on like a rabid dog. This is where voices GET heard. This is where YOU can have a DIRECT impact on your local and statewide and national races. You have no right to bitch if you ain’t involved.
Not dumb…Smart!
They want to collect as much data on MN libs as possible. Dont be surprised if you get a fundraising letter from Mark Ritchie. On second thought, no. This is not paid for with tax dollars as is his prefered data collection for fundraising.
Good one purpleblog dog! I still think Ritchie will have an opponent for the DFL endorsement in 2010. Especially if Ritchie’s opponent is a Republican woman.
FYI. MoveOn just issued a correction.
