Daschle might not be a 'Rock Star,' but he drew a good crowd at the Humphrey Institute at the U of M a few years ago, so he does have drawing power. It may not be with the teeny-boppers, but with the more mature intellectuals. So Daschle could round out the ticket and attract more mature middle-class white intellectuals, along with the all-important South Dakota vote. And now Obama is bringing out "Puff" Daschle. If Democrats are about the future, why do they keep bringing out these old skeletons from years and decades ago? I would think that Obama, being the charismatic speaker that he is, would find someone a little more lively than Daschle.
