I sincerely don’t mean this as any sort of attack on John McCain, I simply couldn’t help but share the sheer ridiculousness of the banner picture on CNN Politics right now. I mean, honestly, who chose this picture of McCain? It looks like he’s so excited that he… well, I’ll let you decide.
In other news, with the consumption of his last can of spinach mid-afternoon on Thursday, John McCain’s transformation into Popeye the sailor man has been completed.

I of course agree with you on the banner being ridiculous though. There’ve been a number of questionable decisions made in photographs of candidates.
There is simply no way that CNN didn’t have a more reasonable picture of John McCain from this rally.

Should it surprise you that CNN would use a bad picture of a Republican? By the way, the Popeye comparison is very, very funny. Democrats can be funny (ala Popeye) without being mean spirited (ala Franken making fun of a college kid).
