Mary Liz Holberg has been “naughty”

St. Rep. Mary Liz Holberg (R - Lakeville) doesn’t have much faith in her Governor. Even before T-Paw delivered his State of the State Address, Holberg was predicting that it would be uneventful and poorly attended:

And some lawmakers are even less enthused than Hornstein. “My expectations are pretty low in general, because there’s no money,” said Mary Liz Holberg, a GOP state rep from Lakeville.

Holberg did point to another issue, namely that the speech is in St. Cloud, and some legislators might be well inclined to skip the address altogether, given the bleak picture that’s likely to be painted.

Don’t read too much into this. It seems Holberg isn’t a fan of Timmy’s speeches in general.

Is she going? “On the record or off the record?” she laughed. “I didn’t even go the last couple years it was in the chambers. I’ve been really naughty.”

Just another example of the loving enthusiasm that MN GOP stalwarts have for their leaders.

  1. 1 1 Bill

Mary Liz is charmingly honest in person, too. Hard to believe she was chair of the Transportation Finance committee for so long?
