In response to the recent attacks on the MNGOP levied by MNPublius, MNGOP Chair Ron Carey released this statement.
“With the recent death of William F Buckley Juuuuuuunior we are reminded that it is the responsibility of the Conservative movement to stand athwart history and shout stop! The Republican Party of Minnesota is so far athwart history that we have decided to just say stop to the reckless and irresponsible manipulation of the Julian calendar by Pope Gregory XIII. He used unchecked power given to him by liberals to not only create this liberal fantasy of a ‘leap day’ every four years, he also removed 10 days from the year 1582 — a right clearly given to the states.
As well, we at the MNGOP have decided that any day whose title is bissextile has only one purpose; to infect the minds of our youth with impure thoughts.
At the next MNGOP State Central Committee meeting, I look forward to the motion being brought forward by Andy Aplikowski giving the MNGOP it’s new slogan. “The MNGOP — When we say paleo-Conservative, we really mean Paleo.”

Brodkorb stated (3-2-08) since he started blogging on July 23, 2004 that he’s read some idiotic posts from liberal bloggers attacking “Republicans,” but today Zack from MN Publius published “the most asinine attack on a Republican I have ever read.”
Just four (4) words after Brodkorb states that Zack attacks “A REPUBLICAN” Brodkorb FLIP-FLOPS to “attacking the Republican Party.”
Brodkorb blogs about the Override Six [Override SICK], however, perhaps he over-reacted on the calendar scenario [LEAP DAY LOSER].
The saddest thing about Brodkorb is that someday his little kids will find out what he does for a living.
