True, he isn't a moderate in the fashion of Ramstad or Lincoln Chafee, but if you lined up all of the Republican Senators based on ideology, Norm would easily be on the left half of the line. Maybe even the left-most quarter. He isn't an ideologue. I agree, though, a guy like Grams would pull enough votes to make it interesting. As much as I respect Grams, though, it seems like he is grasping at straws. Didn't he run against Oberstar in 06? That is what you call a sacrificial lamb candidacy.
