Down in Rochester on Friday and their is major dissastisfaction among the ranks. The Ron Paul people, and there are plenty, are pissed. One guy went and squatted on the lawn for about an hour and just sat there in a daze. Furthermore the RINO flyer is getting a lot of attention and traction as most people that I talked to were not that interested in Norm and thought he was not nearly conservative enough. Basically Ron Paul could be one of the best things for the Democrats this cycle.

The only mentioning of the FEC so far is in regards to rules around Presidential Electors and changing the MN GOP Constitution to be in line with FEC Rules.

Yep, we're filming, up in the nose bleeds. Not as much as I'd like due to location and lack of volunteers. For some reason I couldn't find people to come and help - we'll have a lot of people at the DFL Convention.

I'm in Rochester and the one thing that has surprised me is the ballot "limits" imposed for electing national delegates.

State delegates HAVE to vote for 14 delegates to fill the slate, even if they find only, say, 13 delegates acceptable to them out of the nominees. If they vote for only 13 delegates and do not make 14 votes ALL their votes are thrown out and the ballot is considered spoiled.

Does any other party unit, or party in general, have this rule?
