Bluestem has the scoop, a new poll by the Benenson Strategy Group shows Tim Walz with massive leads over his two Republican challengers:
Walz - 60%
Davis - 20%
Walz - 57%
Day - 22%
No big surprise here, Walz is going to blow these guys out of the water.

OUCH! That’s not even cool. A 40 point lead with 20% undecided? It’s like he’s a 10 term incumbent or something. I think you’ve really got to feel stupid if you’re a blogger (or a poster) who’s been blathering on for months about how Timmy is “controlled by San Francisco liberals” and “wil be unemployed come November.”
Do you guys feel stupid now? Huh? Do you? Or will you have to wait until November to fully realize that you all got owned in CD1?
Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn’t this poll paid for by the DCCC? According to numerous blogs (not reported on MN Publius) this poll was released by the DCCC.
Does it really matter who conducted the poll with those kind of numbers? Remember the Dems have won ALL of the special congressional elections this year. All of them in traditional GOP districts.
So, Michael - you’re point, then, is anything paid for by the GOP is suspect, too?
That is what you’re saying, isn’t it?
Yes, Brodcorb. This was commissioned by the D trip. So?
Micheal, I agree 100%, as I will always do for everything you say,
Everyone knows this poll has been influences by George Soros, and everyone knows that for some reason George Soros makes moonbats act differently than they otherwise would. Nobody can explain it, but it’s a well known fact.
Thank you for again taking down these moonbats who hate America and want to surrender to terrorists.
Great Job!
LOL.
I always know a thread hit paydirt when Brodkorb comes to spin.
Renouncing things paid for by the GOP is a worthwhile endeavor.
We must thank Brodkorb for that insight.
Regardless of who paid for what poll, Tim Walz has been doing a stand up job as Congressman for the 1st CD in ways we have not seen from Gil Gutknecht in the 12 years he was in the US House.
Traveling throughout the District, holding Summits on the Economy, Health Care, Veterans, Agriculture Issues, etc. was unheard of from Gil.
Holding OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Town Hall meetings monthly to get constituent input has been forefront of Tim Walz’s constituent service. Keeping visible and accessible to voters has been paramount. Tim is not one to get elected and then hide from people like Kline and Bachmann.
Both Dick Day and Brian Davis have little to challange Tim on other than wedge issues that voters are well versed on. They will see through that easily.
