Mitch Stewart To VA

Mitch Stewart, a friend of MNPublius and a former DFL coordinated campaign manager will be Obama’s state director in Virgina.

Here’s as good an indication as any that the Obama campaign is dead serious about trying to put Virginia in play.

The campaign says that they’re sending Mitch Stewart, one of Obama’s star organizers, into the state to serve as Virginia’s state director. This is no small thing. Stewart served as Obama’s Iowa caucus director, where he was in charge of the whole field effort, pulling off a major coup and helping deliver the victory that essentially put Obama on track to victory.

This is great news for Obama, and I agree with the author that it means that Obama is very, very serious about Virginia.  Mitch is an amazing organizer and if anyone can make magic happen he can.

We’re hearing some pretty awesome rumors about the Obama state director for Minnesota and we’ll let you know about those as soon as we can verify them.

    Great news.

Minnesota has gotten Obama this far.

Paul Tews, Steve Hildebrand and Mitch Stewart are the three people most responsible for Obama getting this far, IMO.

Spill the beens on the MN State Director. Chris Miller again? He was great during the caucuses.

    Maybe Ben Goldfarb?

Goldfarb looks like a good guess.

He’s riding the character bandwagon this year . . .

Maybe Chris Dodd to help Obama get a low rate loan from Angelo like the rest of the party.

Say, I thought we were ending earmarks. Another record month in them last month.

Hey, you have other people linking to you on the VP thing and unless my browser’s defective, you will be publishing your Obama thing after he has.

    Who?

    Why?

I say Maria Cantwell, or Rush Holt.

Why not. Either would be good if having to run things.
