Forum Communications reports that Dean Simpson, a Republican House Member in his third term, has decided to retire. Simpson is the ninth House Republican to retire this cycle compared to five DFLers (only four DFLers have announced, but Bernie Lieder is widely expected to retire as well). Simpson’s district, 10B, is very Republican and should be safe for the GOP this fall. In 2006, Amy Klobuchar only scored 45% of the vote. Still, DFLers like Larry Hosch and Andy Welti represent districts roughly as Republican as this one. With the Republican brand in the toliet, anything is possible.

You know if enough Republicans retire famous DFL pantie sniffer Michael Broadknob could perhaps run… do you think? Or could it be possible that even Republicans have some standards? Nah, they are running Norm Coleman. Sorry but you’ll have to keep working in the slimepits Michael.
