If all the news and spin of Norm’s DC living arrangements of the past week only does as much damage as bringing this race to within the margin of error, I think the Coleman camp can breathe a big sigh of relief.

This poll is very odd, it defies the movement of recent polls. And it’s a big jump in the unexpected direction. Things have been easier for Franken recently, but not enough to give him this jump. I agree Survey USA is probably off a little also, but I bet we are still sitting at a 10 point gap in Coleman’s favor.

I’m really curious to see if on the off chance Ciresi gets in, on how many people jump to him.

Al got his groove back…his Wellstone fire… when he spoke on Saturday at a DFL planning event. If he can continue to access that fire, he just may pull this off.

PS I was a Jack delegate.

As bad as Al’s campaign has gone, he does have a few things working for him. He’s not republican in 2008 and he’s running against Coleman. Anything is possible, but he needs work better with the Minnesota media.

On a side note, did anyone see the glare coming off Norm’s new choppers on Almanac last week? Those things are WHITE and long. Good thing he found a spartan apartment because he still needs to cap his bottom chicklets.

Well Dean Barkley is in so unless Barkley doesn’t know how to pay taxes either Al will be headed back towards 27%.

Sorry Mike, but Dean Barkley (Ventura’s lap dog) will not be able to pull the votes that Ventura would. Barkley did poorly in his run for Congress and will not attract the drunken idiot vote that Jesse did. I don’t see Barkley cracking the 5% level.

Coleman’s push polling has started. Last night I was contacted and I answered the questions as truthfully as the question would allow. Afterwards, I asked if I could ask a couple of questions and the gal said sure. I asked who contracted her firm to conduct this poll. She wasn’t allowed to tell me. I then told her she ought to be ashamed of herself, taking part in this activity and told her to say hello to Senator Coleman for me.

I wonder what Franken would be polling if his ads approached a subject that any Minnesotan actually gave a shit about. This latest anti-lobbyist ad is such a waste of money and electricity as to boggle the mind. Not even political junkies are going to vote on that issue.

How about the cost of living getting out of hand because of Republican policies supported by Coleman? How about Coleman the lapdog defending his close relationship with Bush Republican domestic economic policies… since every last one of them has been a colossal failure it doesn’t matter which… How about letting Coleman know that making an ad about bringing hockey back to Minnesota has nothing to do with Senate duties and his ongoing support of the Iraq War?

If Franken loses this election it will be because he doesn’t realize how pissed off every Minnesotan gets every time they fill up the truck or go to buy groceries… and that he doesn’t tag Republican policies and Republican Senate votes by Coleman for helping this get worse. Take a look at the value of the Dollar versus the Euro and tell me any Republican has a clue about economics!

Franken better get his head out of his esoteric political ass and get to the issues that matter to voters!
