Alright, it’s a couple days after we launched diaries and we still only have 3 diaires up (1 of which is mine). I wasn’t sure when we launched these how often they’d actually be used, but I thought, either way, it was worth the experiment. But with this kind of showing I’m starting to wonder if they’re even working!
So, what is it? Are people having difficulties with the diaries system? Is there simply not much interest? Are there those out there that would like to use it but just haven’t had the time lately?
Also, while we’re at it: it’s been a bit over a month since the new site launched. Are there any lingering problems people are having in general. It’s bug squashing time people!

Hey Matt, I just have not tried it yet. I can usually say enough and often times say too much just by placing comments. Could it be that some of our comment crowd that has more to say already have their own blogs?
Edit: The comment window on my workstation, (PC, XP, Internet Explorer), opens all the way out to the right side of the page and then vanishes, to where I can’t see what I’m typing. My other workstations, (both Macs running Tiger and Leopard, Safari work flawlessly.)

see, that was a kinda snark. I’m not a frequent reader, but I probably will be soon. The RNC is coming to my town, and I might just diary at this place. It’s top on my list of local sites.
No time yet. Wait till summer ends and people will spend more time in front of the Computer screen… Good idea though.
Keep the diary option - the diaries will come. I think (and I think others think) you need to put some work into something you are going to post as a diary, as opposed to a comment on someone else’s diary.
might help if the diaries are more prominently displayed than the rest of the sidebar items?
i didn’t even notice the diary section until it was pointed out in this post. i sort of just don’t look at the sidebar. reading kos, though, i see the diaries right away maybe because it looks more prominent and not so blended it.

AHEM. to remain logged in. Also, the edit function is intermittent.
