Hey Zack, glad to see you are reading a Souter opinion (even if a dissent). He's my favorite Justice (and no, I'm not biased just because I was a lawclerk for him). Thanks to you guys for keeping me up to date on DFL and progressive politics in Minnesota during my time here in the wilderness (aka DC).

MTV is entitled to freedom of speech, and we're entitled to decide if we want MTV to be our relied-upon source of election information.

Actually, I think it is great that more election info is getting into mainstream media. It does, however, amount to free advertising, but that has been an issue for ages.

Nice piece. That is about as glowing as one could make a 3-minute chunk.

What was the context behind it? Are they featuring people from the MTV generation who are running? Any other rhyme or reason behind who they are selecting?

Ashwin is spectacular and while many (especially on some national blogs, Swing State Project to be particular) are more pessimistic about this race since Bonoff would've been a shoe in while Madia will have to work harder, this is an extremely winnable seat and Ashwin is inspiring, intelligent, and really is personable. Hopefully I can nag him for a St. Thomas visit.
