Minnesota House Speaker Margaret Anderson Kelliher, St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman, Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak and other Minnesota leaders will headline the grand opening of U.S. Sen. Barack Obama’s state headquarters this evening in St. Paul. Coleman supported Sen. Hillary Clinton in Minnesota’s caucuses in February.
Obama Campaign for Change staff and volunteers will use the headquarters and several other offices across the state to build an unprecedented grassroots organization to bring Obama’s message of change to Minnesotans in their communities.

Obama is opening thirty offices in Virginia on Sunday. Camp McCain says it’s a waste of time, but Obama is up in the latest statewide poll. Woot!
What is the fixation for campaigns and that area. There’s no parking, no place to get a quick bite (McDonalds and Cafe Biaggio is about it), and the whole strip gets kind creepy after dark. Rent must be cheap, they could have done a whole lot better.
Its in the same building as Obama State Director, Jeff Blodget’s day job, Wellstone Action.

There is copious parking both behind the building, and across the street. I count four restaurants within one block, and eight within three blocks. Furthermore, though it may be ‘creepy’ it is a safe neighborhood.
Sheesh.
