Pawlenty’s VP Stock Continues to Drop

A couple of weeks ago, Tim Pawlenty was the consensus front-runner to be John McCain’s running mate this fall.  In the last fourteen days, however, the chattering class has soured on his chances.  Check out this article from the New York Observer

So what value would Pawlenty add to the ticket? His first opportunity for publicity – when McCain announces the pick – would be a wasted venture because no one (outside of Minnesota) knows Pawlenty and there’s nothing dramatic in his background (he’s spent his life in Minnesota politics). He’ll come across as another late-middle-aged politician with talking points.

Ouch.

You know McCain managed to lose 5 Navy aircraft. The definition of an ace is a military aviator who shoots down 5 of the enemies planes. Does that make McCain a North Vietnamese Ace?

Think about it a nondescript Midwestern Governor who’s decision to put Carol Molenau into two different important posts contributed to the falling down of an important bridge… its’ a perfect fit for the Republicans. Add Norm the Weasel to the mix and it is a buffoon trifecta.
