Approval Ratings

This grassroots video has been making its way across the interwebs over the last couple of days (it was #1 on Digg yesterday!) and I can see why. This is the type of hard-hitting yet honest counterpoint that we need to see on the airwaves, not just the netwaves:

I’m glad, gopgal, that you support Bush more now than you did 4 years ago.

I’m sure every Minnesota Republican blogger 100% agrees with you.

    Great Job!!

gopgal sounds a little bitter about the disaster her little bush turned into.

It seems to me Republicans would like to elect President Bush to a third term more than they want to support Senator McCain. There’s just that pesky 22nd Amendment in the way.

I don’t support Bush more than I did four years ago. But I also am basing my ballot this year on John McCain the leader, not soon-to-be-Ex-President Bush. And looking at John McCain, I like what I see. I wish he was 8 years younger, but I’d rather have an old John McCain than someone who pursues bad policy.

Serious question here, perhaps for the real political junkies out there — how do they analyze that McCain has “voted with Bush” X% of the time? Bush, you see, doesn’t vote on Senate business. Occasionally he may veto something. Do they infer that if Bush didn’t veto a bill, he voted “for” it?

Also, if Obama is elected, tell him never to eat cake during any type of difficult period. Evidently, that is a no-no.
