World renowned jackass commentator Bill Kristol might have just redeemed himself after his most recent stupid sabre rattling column by reporting today that COLIN POWELL IS GOING TO ENDORSE BARACK OBAMA!!!
Former Secretary of State Colin Powell will endorse Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention, Weekly Standard Publisher Bill Kristol told FOX News exclusively on Thursday.
“He may well give a speech at the Democratic convention explaining his endorsement of Obama,” Kristol said, citing inside sources. “For whatever reason I think he has decided he’s going to endorse Obama. I think [Powell] has a high respect for Senator McCain, they go back a long way.”
Kristol continued, “This is not an absolute done deal, but these people are very confident that Powell will endorse Obama.”
As news goes this is somewhere near “You just won the Publishers Clearinghouse grand prize!” and “This one is on the house”. In other words, sweet. Very, very sweet news.
Kristol couches his scoop with all sorts of waffly comments, but if just for a few minutes this afternoon the thought of this made my heart flutter. There are few Americans I hold in greater regard than Secretary Powell, and if this is true I am so happy, and so proud of his stand for the future of our country.

Wonder if he’s being considered for the VP spot. I’m glad the Kaine talk has quieted, and was surprised to hear Kerry’s name. My preference would be for Obama to address the working voters in industrial areas and/or foreign policy experience.
My preference list not in any order — Hillary, Biden, or Gephardt. Moon shots of those not likely to accept — Gore, Powell, or Mitchell. Kerry is intriguing.

So you actually think iraq and the world is better off had Saddam stayed in power. Fortunately for the Iraqi people, they don’t agree with your assessment. Especially the part about the water and electricity which are three year old talking points. And the part about the deaths is not correct either as the surge has put Iraq under a much more stable position with fewer terrorist attacks and deaths.
