I dig it. It’s folksy, and hits home with independents who are disheartened by the partisan divide. Good ad.

Why did his step daughter and campaign manager take her wedding ring off when she was in the shot in the coffee shop?
It’s folksy in its appeal but for those who watch tv and are not political junkies, unless you’re watching the background, I think the “who the ad is about” is not discernible until the end. In that sense, it’s a lot of time wasted and if you don’t hang on to the end, there is no message in it.

I agree. The quality of the video was good - the the plot for the ad didn’t work. Tinklenberg needs to introduce himself to the district with ads, and then, explain why he is better than his opponent (and he shouldn’t be subtle about pointing out that his opponent, Michele Bachmann is an extremist nut, liar and bigot.)
All this commercial shows is that ole El has been eating too many taxpayer funded dinners thanks to all of the contracts Anoka county commissioner Dan Erhart has given him. Maybe you should do a comparison to see who has a bigger gut — Erhart or old El

Blood & gold don’t mix very well unless, perhaps, it might be a reasonable mixture of a Bloody Mary, followed sometime later by perhaps something made with Cuervo Gold.
