Gee a human being as a Senator... what a concept! Instead we have that donor-bot Norm Coleman sucking up dollars where ever he can... no matter how slimey or sleazy those dollars are. Why are Republicans like Norm so convinced that anyone who needs a helping hand is the enemy and anyone handing them a donation are upstanding citizens who only want the best for the nation.

Hubert Humphrey said "Americans don't want a hand out, they want a hand up." Let's send a human being to the Senate who might understand that idea. It is time for Norm to go.

Two-Putter,
It would be interesting to see, but I believe the reason Senator Franken understands the militry better is because he has visited them way more than Coleman. He visited them not because it was his job, or for politics, but because it was the right thing to do. With a little research, it would be interesting to compare how many times Franken has been to foreign military posts compared to Coleman. This includes bases in and out of combat zones.
Take care,
Alec

<em>"When’s the last time you heard someone describe Norm Coleman as genuine, or empathic, or understanding?"</em>

When was the FIRST time???!?

I have had the honor of meeting and having at-length discussions with Al Franken; Al Franken understands veterans issues better and more thoroughly than many veterans. Al Franken connects with people - Norm Coleman connects with donors. Well, "well-heeled" donors.
