They are going to listen to who bought them. There really isn't any middle ground. Neither party will ever cross the aisle. Look what happened when those 6 Republicans tried. They were knocked out of their party. Why? Because of what they believed needed to be done. The IP will not be ones that will bow to those special interests. If either Paulsen or Madia are elected do you really believe that they will be willing to stick their necks out? Paulsen didn't and I doubt Madia will either. They are bought and paid for by special interests. That is the problem we have, that I see, with our political system today. Reading the whining over third parties being spoilers makes me sick.
Go out and win your own election — regardless of the number of candidates — and stop blaming others.

The third CD is full of centrists, and David Dillon is the only centrist in this race. That is why he will win.

By the way, I think it's fine to make money...you should also pay a proportional ammount similiar to someone barely getting by. The Republicans love using double speak and trickery to cover up their costs. Of the 2 parties, I feel that the Democrats are going to come closer to what matters to you and your independent friends. We are the party of fiscal responsibility and social liberalism. Don't believe that, then you haven't been paying attention to the cost of the war and the huge deficit the republicans have created for us to fix. You also haven't noticed all of the laws the republicans would like to impose upon us in the name of "values". Ashwin Madia has a fiscally responsible platform. He has real solutions to our energy problems, and a realistic plan to get us out of Iraq. Erik Paulsen voted against the transportation bill, something the state Chamber of Commerce wanted and lobbied for. That body recognizes that a crumbling infrastructure is not conducive to business viability. Paulsen has NO PLAN to get us out of Iraq. Paulsen also has no realistic energy plan, just a lot of party talking points. Paulsen would like to control women's reproductive rights, civil rights and human rights. None of this sounds like an agenda the independent party supports. The way I see it, you will have a choice. Support a candidate who has no chance in the 3rd, or support the candidate who more closely represents the principles that you care about. That candidate is Ashwin Madia.
