I can’t rebut that. Since Obama has never been in an Executive position and has never appointed people in a public service capacity, I have no comeback.

I guess we’ll find out in 2009 what his approach to leading a Government is. Should be a fun learning experience for all!

Also, Palin represents the same white, connected affirmative action cronyism that has led Bush to put so many incompetent people in important positions. The strength of Obama is he will surround himself with competence, much like Regan did. Palin appointed a High School pal to be the state’s agriculture secretary. That friend’s qualifications? She said she thought cows were neat.

So, Palin abuses her power and appoints incompetent people at the expense of the country. Sounds like Bush/Cheney redux.

I’m saying, however, that Barack Obama had to be loyal to the Chicago political machine in order for the kingmakers of that corrupt system to vault him to the next level in politics.

The historical figure that Obama reminds me of the most is Machiavelli. He is incredibly skilled at figuring out how to get power. He knew that he needed to get the support of the Chicago political machine. He knew that by voting “present” many times in the legislature, he would have less to defend than if he would have taken stands on issues. The man is smart. Pure Machiavelli.

Palin a reformer? My god you are a clown. There are few people as corrupt as Palin is even in Washington or Chicago. I wouldn’t be surprised to see her follow Stevens to the pokey.

Plus, a former TransCanada executive served as an outside consultant to Palin’s pipeline team.

Palin is not a reformer, she’s a political opportunist that saw an opening with the uber corrupt Stevens machine.

Palin became governor by taking on, not playing with, the Alaska GOP political establishment that Stevens is the grand daddy of. She encouraged new blood to run in primaries against them. She beat GOP insiders in her own primary.

She came out against Stevens back when she was just a little old Governor and had no national identity.

Is that being “closely tied to” someone?

Palin supported the bridge, and was closely tied to Stevens, so she’s a “reformer.”

Yeah. That must be it.
