Palin Slams Bachmann

Even Michele Bachmann’s Sista from a different Mista, Sarah Palin, thinks that the Kissy Monster went over the line with her call for a return to McCarthyism:

Speaking with reporters in Colorado yesterday, Palin said she does not agree with Rep. Michele Bachmann’s recent comments suggesting that some congressmen hold “anti-American views,” NBC/NJ’s Matthew E. Berger reports. “Well that’s quite subjective,” she said of Bachmann’s comments. “I would think that anybody running and wanting to serve in Congress is quite pro-American because that’s what the mission is, to better this country, so I would question the intent of that.”

Seriously, the only way this could get worse for Bachmann would be if Roy Cohn himself came back from the dead and called Bachman a fearmonger.

  • “Speaking with reporters in Colorado yesterday, Palin said …’

    Yeah, “right.”

Since when did they take the muzzle off of Governor MooseMeat??!?

  • “Since when did they take the muzzle off of Governor MooseMeat??!?”

    Civility Score:

    Palin: +1

  • TPT - It wasn’t a journalist, it was probably a “Fox News Reporter”

  • In this election cycle anybody playing civility point games should give up… McCain blew up the score months ago.

  • “I would think that anybody running and wanting to serve in Congress is quite pro-American because that’s what the mission is, to better this country, so I would question the intent of that.”

Her creative use of nouns, verbs, dangling participles should be an inspiration to every performance artist out there. To Sarah Palin, a sentence is not just a group of words, strung together to convey a thought. It’s a blank canvas. It’s a block of marble. It’s a pile of garbage. All just waiting for an artist, like herself to create a new work of art.

  • I actually had a real moment of cognitive dissonance when I read the title of this post. It took me a few seconds to differentiate the two people in my mind…hmmm

  • A bit of fun with names such as Governor Moosemeat doesn’t offend me, but as these are extraordinary times I’m going to raise my civility standards to those of Mr. theMan and be extra respectful in my comments for the rest of the campaign. A quick surf of the web showed me things are heating up - campaign related killing of a bear cub, slashed tires, death threats (all diaried on dkos), voter intimidation, assult on volunteer.

It’s a bit scary thinking thousands of people have real concerns that we are about to elect a terrorist sympathizer as president. It’s really their patriotic duty do take action if that’s what they believe and with some it could become violent. I’d like to see stronger statements from both campaigns in support of the patriotism of their opponents along with calls for civility.

In this spirit I apologize for past times when I chanted along with “Bush is a terrorist” as part of anti war protests. As repentence I am going to attempt to go for two weeks saying only positive things about all of our leaders starting now. Representative Bachman is very telegenic and could have a future career in broadcasting.

  • I got a brother in South Florida; he asked me what’s up with Bachmann. I told him:

“Katherine Harris, with more religion and less intelligence.”

    He got it, “right” away.

  • Sarah Palin let this genie out of the bottle, and it is time for the McCain camp to put it back.

  • “Palin: -1,399,405
    TwoPutt: -1”

    Fixed it for you, DtM
