Barkley sounds OK.
He will not win, though.

A Jesse Ventura won't be happening again. Barkley does not wrestle on TV.
A 3rd party guy doesn't get much attention if elected. Though he could be a good addition to a Franken seat.

Normy is such a whiner. He's telling us NOW what he should have done THEN.

And he drops other people's names. But he can't remake himself. He wants that position as head of the Republican propaganda dept
which he threw his hat into the ring for already, basically the director of the dirty tricks squad.

Why do they all aspire to be Karl Rove II?

Thanks for the article DTM. If nothing else Barkley might act as a window into what is happening in the senate. It should be obvious at this point that neither Franken or Coleman has the ability to speak honestly about the issues.

We should have a decent idea of what is what when the next round of polling comes out. Looking forward to the debate tomorrow. Al was spectacular today.

Both of these candidates are embarrasing me. This campaign has gone into the toilet. I'm going to watch the debates and take a good, hard look at Barkley.

Vance Opperman completely nails it, here: http://www.tcbmag.com/ideasopinions/openletter/104618p1.aspx

I just wish the dem that was pulling ahead in the senate race was someone I liked. At least when Franken wins I'll see much less of his annoying persona on my TV. Maybe if he would promise to serve only one or two terms I could support him more enthusiastically.

I am like goldilocks as a canvaser in search of a just right race where I feel my efforts could help make a difference (Obama will win easily, Sarvi has little chance, my Franken support is too luke warm to be effective.) Any suggestions of competive a house race in south metro where more volunteer help is needed. I'd love to see house have enough dems to override a Pawlenty veto of better education funding.

The only trend here is that Franken increased 13% and amazingly, the sample of Democrats from the last Minnesota poll increased 13%, what do you expect to happen?

does anyone know if bill hillsman is doing Barkley's media? or who else is doing it. A couple clever ads that get earned media and good debate performances could be all he needs to take this.
