Remember all the weird buzz about Norm Coleman suing yesterday? One of the stories I kept hearing was how Norm Coleman was running away from some reporters’ questions in Saint Cloud at an event with Michele Bachmann.
A dedicated reader pointed me to a video that was just posted online. It looks like Star Tribune reporters Paul McEnroe and Tony Kennedy had some questions to ask that Norm Coleman raced away from. It is a little odd that investigative journalists from the Star Tribune would be showing up at an event in Saint Cloud to catch Coleman now. Obviously this is something someone thinks is important:
They are asking about some lawsuit where Nasser Kazeminy apparently helped Norm Coleman’s wife get $75,000.
If you know any more details about this, please send me a tip.

Aaron: You’re a liar.
Thanks for the insight, Michael. Can you back up anything you say or be specific on any part of that charge?
It’s abundantly clear to a lot of people on all sides of the political spectrum that you’re going to be looking for a real line of work soon — and let’s be honest, the people you’ve worked for in the past aren’t going to want to help you, nor have they created a climate in which it will be easy for you to help yourself — and clearly that has your Pull-ups in a knot, but let’s try to raise the discourse to at least a point where your nastiness can be specific.
“Throughout my public career I have tried to be as transparent and forthcoming as I could.” — Norm Coleman
I think he’s confusing the words “transparent” and “invisible.” And perhaps he’s just saving ‘forthcoming’ for later.
Michael,
Exactly what is Aaron lying about? He states that he heard Coleman was allegedly running from reporters who were asking him questions. Then he puts up a video of Coleman hurrying away from reporters asking questions. Seems pretty factual.
Mikey calling someone a liar is like Dick Cheney calling someone a really bad hunter.
Michael has been one of the key beneficiaries of white, connected, affirmative action for too long. The Bush ideology where competence is an afterthought, and loyalty and political affiliation come first. Michael failed miserably with Mark Kennedy, and in the whacked out world of Neo-con politics that put him in line to get money to help Paulsen. Well, Michael, the affirmative action you and the Bush types benefit from is soon coming to an end. Once again, competence and ability will soon be a big factor in whether people have power in our government. I am sorry that will leave you out in the cold.
Later, Alec
It’s clear Coleman was walking away as opposed to running.
Nice fancy post editing Landry.
Funny, Michael, there’s no sign of your “correct” version of this story on your Web site.
Hey — I hear the Eagan McDonald’s is hiring. (“You did TOO order fries, you liar!”)
Being called a liar by Broadknob has to carry some weight. After all he is an expert.
I am reminded of early SNL. Aaron is Jane Curtain and MB is Dan Ackroyd in point/Counterpoint.
“Aaron you ignorant ….”
Broadcorpse calling you a liar is high compliment, Aaron. Keep up the good work.
I think Coleman peed his pants. He can probably get a new pair cheap, though. I’ve heard he’s connected.
Michael: please shoot yourself in the face.
Typical right-wing hypocrite (oops! sorry, that’s redundant). Rail against “frivolous lawsuits” but file four of them yourself, when you stupidly believe it will give you a political advantage. Sorry, Mr. Sleazy Politics, but most of the people of Minnesota aren’t that stupid.
Michael seems quite peeved. For someone that attemts to paint Al Franken as an angry liberal, you sure do seem to be getting upset about a video that CLEARLY shows the Senator ducking questions about $75,000 being given to his wife Lori. No need for “dedicated readers” on this one…Video evidence is just so sweet!
Does Team Franken have enough time to produce one more “Running Man” ad? :)
What are you running away from, Senator?
My roommate took that video! Hell yea!!
