Really, Why is there a North Dakota AND a South Dakota? Isn't that redundant and unnecessary? How about if we combine them in One Unified Dakota! I suggest that the NEW State capital of Dakota be at Wounded Knee on the Pine Ridge Reservation, Maybe all of Dakota should be a Reservation, For perhaps the DAKOTA (Lakota.). Really why do we want these divisions between North and South, I mean look what that did for Korea and Vietnam, nothing but trouble. Let's finally unify the Dakotas and split California, LA Land and North Francisco. They really are 2 separate states that have nothing on common. Come on we still would have 50 States!

I for one, am happy that we are keeping Canadian Scum North of the border, next thing you know poor people might have health care, and we'll be drinking Canadian Club, Labatts and Molson, and ending every sentence with eh! Ya Hoser!

I think Rick Astley is actually from Devil's Lake. And no matter what is done to North Dakota, it's still just South Dakota without the prissy attitude.

C'mon! Everybody knows that thousands of Iowans use the NAFTA superhighway (known as I35) to enter Minnesota every day. Tim Walz and Jim Oberstar refuse to lift a finger to stop it.

How else to explain the Mississippifarian?

Tell me, which state do you live in now? Another example of North Dakotan immigration I think.

Yep. And you should be thankful; since my gross income, SAT Score, ACT Score, and various other stats are well above the Minnesota averages, I bring the rest of you up.

You're welcome!

OF course, I will not object if you move back to ND to “defend” your home state. :)

The best defense is a good offense.

"East Dakota" is much more pleasant to the ears than, say, "Minnesota".

Since North Dakotans are healthier and smarter (compare SAT scores sometime), and have a better educational system for less money, and the North Dakota economy is in better shape (and not entirely due to the oil boom), perhaps it's to defend my native state from all you hapless Minnesotans?

I mean, eventually we're going to take this sad sack of a state over anyway...
