Some voters said flatly that they believed Mr. Coleman should withdraw. “As of right now, I’d say he should step aside,” said Brian Kelley, an engineer who works in St. Paul and voted for Mr. Coleman… …Other residents worry that Minnesota is being left in the lurch, and that having a senator — even maybe one you did not vote for — would be better than continuing uncertainty. “I just think it’s time to move on. We’ve got a lot of important things to take care of in this session right now, so we should get somebody in there so they can represent Minnesota,” said Laura Winge, a creative director for the State Department of Employment and Economic Development.
Coleman, of course, is in an especially weak position because he called for Franken to concede just days after the election. Pressing on to court makes him a HUGE hypocrite. As time goes on, and it becomes more and more apparent that Norm is going to lose, I think the pressure on Coleman to concede will grow and grow.

Why should he listen to sense now? He is going to drag this out as long as possible, not only for himself but also to ensure there won’t be another Democrat in the Senate during a time when votes really matter.
Norm is insulting our state, and our officials who worked so hard to do the right thing.
There will be long term harm for our state, because we will only have one senator to advocate for projects in Minnesota when the stimulus money is allocated in the next few months.
When Tax and Health Care laws are being debated, we will be missing a Senator to protect Minnesota interests.
Norm is all about Norm, but the longer he draws this out, the greater his self destruction.
Pawlenty too, for supporting this obstruction.

Norm was never there to protect MN’s interests. He has always been a creature of the right wingnuts. I would not be at all suprised if the lawsuits are just intended to keep the total number of Democratic Senators as low as possible for as long as possible. Remember the R’s have been trying to destroy American civilization since the 1930’s, they have almost won the battle. Norm is just doing his part.
I think we should start a Minnesota movement… “Never Again Norm!” Dedicated to make sure that Norm Coleman never runs for and wins a political office in the state of Minnesota again. I’m pretty sure after all is said and done, there will be lots of Republicans willing to join.
