Bachmann, though, consistently gets away with saying some terrible things. I suppose that’s because she’s standing up for good old American virtues, like pollution, greed, and bigotry.
One more thought on Zack’s post about crazy Michele Bachmann. Can you imagine how ballistic conservatives would have gone if a Democrat had said something like that? Suppose Keith Ellison said that Minnesotans need to be “armed and dangerous” over exorbitant bonuses for corporate executives. He would have been called a communist, a traitor, and far worse.

If we said something as inflammatory as “Maybe we really shouldn’t have gone into Iraq”, we were unpatriotic and treasonous.
Michelle Bachman == Kathleen Soliah
Is it less different then the Obama (post) campaign worker who this week reminded his staff to not be antagonistic, there would be time for direct confrontation “After we have an AMRY.”?
Either they are both politcal rhetoric & not worth the time to discuss it, or they are indications of a future civil war. Are you really as crazy as you think we are? So if you aren’t irrational & willing to destroy this country to have your way, how can you believe that we, your neighbors, coworkers, friends & family are that insane?
a worker???? we’re talking about people in actual power not volunteers here.
Bachmann gets away with it now because (a) people have come to expect it, and (b) nobody really takes her seriously any more.
You don’t criticize the crazy person for saying crazy things. You just ignore them and move along.
“(b) nobody really takes her seriously any more.”
How did she get re-elected then?
C”Man”
“How did she get re-elected then?”
She got re-elected because people like you vote.
She represents you perfectly.
Cman takes a direct hit…
she got re-elected because she had the benefit of running against someone who was, let’s face it, a pretty bad campaigner. as a result, she was one of the “targeted-repubs” that survived 2008, not unlike t-paw in ‘06.
There’s always a double standard. I’m off Radio Free Nation now for standing up to this:

(Mitch Berg from AM 1280 “The Patriot”)
There’s worse but this was funny. ENJOY!
(see the site above for MY show)
I do vote and with a knowledge to do so unlike many. Should I not have that right in your mind?
My only point is, you get what you vote for.
Remember voting for Bush?
It would help if conservatives would stand by their actions… note how the same people who voted for Bush both times now say he was never really a conservative, and I never liked the guy anyway. I means sheesh I’ve spent at least a year hearing Cman defend every action that dry drunk pulled…

Yea I did vote for him both times. Look at my other choice, Gore or Kerry! And no, I’ve only graced these pages of wisdom since the election, so your sense of time is off, just like your judgement.
We did look, and made the better choice. Now the economy has been set on fire and driven off a cliff, and our moral standing in the world is nil.
Thanks a lot, to you and your ilk.
C’Rush”,
“Yea I did vote for him both times.”
So do you take responsibility for the failure of his ideology?
Apparently not, because then you add: “Look at my other choice, Gore or Kerry!”
Then you question the judgement of people you disagree with: “your sense of time is off, just like your judgement”
Face it, you are a circus, offering not much other than entertainment for those of us who know the wheels have come off the right wing bus.
Great Job!
Bachmann is a flake among many flakes.
She has the “extreme denial” working for her. A little different than traditional Minnesotan.
Much as I hate to say it, its a little about microcosmic community.
All you have to do is “believe.” There’s always a reason around the corner why what
she voted for didn’t turn out the way she thought it would. And someone else to blame for the outcome.
Never mind if its a fiction. Its almost like the intense group loyalty of mega-churches.
