My friends and neighbors are not the government, you see, since they are part of “we the people”.

Interesting point there. Completely wrong but interesting coming from a Republican.

Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

That was written by a Republican President. In the aftermath of one of the greatest episodes of human slaughter in human history.

A little more then two hundred words later he said

that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.

Among the myriad things Lincoln was trying to convey in 278 words was we are the government. We are one nation. The hyperbole of the right right now is bordering on treason. Where is the oppression? Where are the violations of the Constitution? Where are the warrantless wiretaps? Where's the torture? Where's the illegal war? Where's the fear and smear campaigns against those who deign to dissent?

The right has nothing but empty hyperbole to try and rally it's base. Once it's base figures out the right has nothing then even empty hyperbole won't be enough. What will they resort to then?

The economy will turn around. Perhaps a contributing factor will have been this stimulus, perhaps not. It is all relative. Obama will say it worked, the Repubs will say it didn't.

What I am pretty sure of is that we didn't need to spend so much money so hastily, and with permanent ramifications as we did. Wasteful, bloated spending is not a requirement to dig out of a recession.

Really?

Just because you say it, doesn't make it true.

You have no track record that makes you or your fellow dittoheads credible. Period.

Your bluster is basically what we've all heard over and over and over 1,000's of times. That doesn't make it true.

After many many years of listening to your crap over and over, I doubt wheather too many people are buyin' what you are sellin', unless they are just dittoheaded clones of yourself.

"our hatred of the truth and of conservatives and Republicans andanyone without your own viewpoint is sad"

Maybe you should tell me then, since you are so smart, what my "viewpoint" even is? That sounds like a pretty vague, broad attack, something you just say as a knee jerk reaction.

YOUR viewpoint, on the other hand, is very familiar. I saw 100's of signs with your viewpoint, if you agree with the teabaggers. I don't think those views are as popular as you might think, Really?

Nitro,

Really man, your lack of comprehension should embarrass you back into your basement.

I said tyrnnary of the government. My friends and neighbors are not the government, you see, since they are part of "we the people". I might disagree with some of them, but they are not the ones aremed with laws and the power of coercion to make me change my lifestyle and take away freedom of choice.

The government made it THEM vs WE THE PEOPLE when they stated that people who don't like big government spending , those who believe in the constitution, those who defend it, and those who don't like killing babies could be enemies of the state.

I never mentioned patriotoism or lack thereof, you did. Projecting your own viewpoints again, I see.

Once again, your hatred of the truth and of conservatives and Republicans and anyone without your own viewpoint is sad. Also could be clinical. Get it checked, will you.

If McCain was in office, perhaps we wouldn't have had the most careless and hasty spending bill in the history of our nation to complain about. That is why turnout was higher this year.

As Rahm said, a crisis is a terrible thing to waste, and this administration understands that principle intimately.

Really?

SeanH must have hit the "oh no it's the truth being told" nerve, at least for a documented apologist such as yourself.

Your outrage is manufactured.

Great Job!

Really?

"Tyranny of an oppresive government"

What is that, a conspiracy theory? It sounds more like another successive escalation in the venom of your rhetoric.

So it's "us" vs. "them", isnt it once again with you, Really? You think your friends, co-workers, neighbors, and family members who disagree with you on issues are your enemies?

Some of your fellow Americans are communist fascist marxist leftist socialist istists in your head. Are you questioning their patriotism?

Does it ever get old?

Great Job!

Holly

1. No...we dont agree. Unfettered capitalism started this entire ball rolling a few hundred years ago. By unfettered I mean lacking in government intervention. Capitalism is the free exchange of goods and services amongst private individuals for their own gain. BOTH parties share in a motivation to achieve a goal. If one party thinks it a bad deal, they do not complete the transaction. The only time this doesn't work is if you believe that ONE party in the transaction is too stupid to realize that the deal may not be as great as it appears. Oh...wait....you do believe that. Sorry.

2. No, we do not agree. Again, you have this constant need to prove yourself smarter than most people? You are claiming that most people cannot judge, assess, identify, etc...their own economic condition? Thats just plain ridiculous. Lucid questions will illicit lucid responses. I cannot respond to such a statement.

Lastly, since we do not factually know what peoples paychecks say, I will assume, for arguments sakes, you are correct. BUT...what good is an extra $60 per month when it is being taken back in increased fees, energy taxes, etc? Whats the point and, why bother?

Lastly, I dont have an reservation about using my name as I am not ashamed of the principles of liberty and free-will to which I espouse.
