The problem with his theological argument is that global warming science isn’t projecting the end of the world, it is projecting large scale changes in the habitability of the world. Human beings may survive the damage we are causing but the veneer of civilization we have developed may not.
It should be noted that neither of the verses he quoted contained a Divine guarantee of perpetual employment for coal minors. Also he relies on the infallible word of God but quotes carbon ppm data as part of his theological debate.
I’m a bit confused. My understanding is that the earth was created somewhere by god somewhere between 6000 and 10000 years ago, so why is he talking about “millions of years ago” in the age of the dinosaurs? Everyone knows that god’s humans tamed the dinosaurs and kept them as pets.
It’s a good thing my faith in the one true god, the Flying Spaghetti Monster, isn’t shaken by this claptrap.
