Starting today, I will be filing data practices request for copies of the front side of all ballots relative to the 2008 U.S. Senate general election contained within rejected absentee ballot envelopes…
Wait, let me repeat a portion of that with emphasis, just in case you missed it:
…REJECTED absentee ballot envelopes…
Who cares what’s in these envelopes? They’ve been rejected! And not just once, on election day. No, they were recounted to ensure that they were properly rejected. Then, they were passed over by the three-judge panel which ordered that 351 additional ballots be counted. The remaining ballots have all been rejected at least three times — they’re not getting counted.
I think somebody needs to explain to Minnesota Republicans how elections work.

Actually it will be hysterical if he gets the copies only to find out that even among rejected ballots, Franken wins the majority of votes. I wonder if he’ll publish the results.
This is another big fat tell; the only reason to do this would be because the inner circles of the MN GOP know that Norm is done. Trying to open rejected absentee ballots before the MN SC has made its decision means they know Franken is going to eventually win, but are trying to find any talking point to undermine him.
I have to say a big part of me wants this exercise to succeed.
First because I admit I am curious. Second because I am convinced that any expansion of the count at the county level will increase Al’s lead.
Norm probably got thousands more voting for him on election day. Unfortunately for him Al had already got those thousands and more voting for him before election day.
Well, but a partisan hack getting ahold of ballot copies won’t expand the count….though I agree with you otherwise.
Can Democrats spell the word “Integrity” — can they say “free and fair elections” — maybe if they really cared about the integrity of the process rather than the winning at any cost theDemocratic leaders in Congress wouldn’t have refused to hold hearings on ACORN, an organization associated with well-documented broad sweeping voter registration fraud and Secretary Holder wouldn’t have swept under the rug “thuglike” intimidation of voters in Philadelphia.
The Constitution requires that all voters and all ballots be treated equally.
Senator Coleman is a great American hero for fighting the good fight.
