I could quote Seifert’s plan, but it can’t be taken at face value, anyway. Instead, I thought I’d translate the conservative code words and give you and idea of Seifert’s real plan:
- Slash regulations and oversight of businesses, even after deregulation led to a massive economic crisis.
- Following in Tim Pawlenty’s footsteps, throw even more low- and middle-income families off of public health care plans.
- Reduce funding for public schools.
- End state investment in infrastructure, continuing the decay of our roads and bridges.
- Intrude in local control over law enforcement.
- Throw Minnesotans off welfare and reduce benefits.
- Use state resources to conduct a witchhunt against DFL “enemies.”
Check out Seifert’s plan and tell me, do you think my translation is that far off?

He's running right now in a Republican primary (Or is it caucus? I always get those confused.). He's going to use whatever words will resonate with the Republican base right now. This shouldn't surprise anybody that his platform looks this way.
Your translation was completely on the mark.
Not really news… I'm not sure if this new comment process is an improvement.
