MDE is now completely surreal

I know nobody really pays attention to Minnesota Democrats Exposed anymore, but it’s got another new author. First, I’d like to welcome Luke Helier. Now that’s out of the way, I’d like to ask: What are you thinking?

You’ve got to check out Luke’s first substantive post:

Tonight, Tax and Spend Liberal Senator Tarryl Clark is holding a fundraiser outside of the 6th District.  The fundraiser will be at Sweeney’s Bar which sits squarely in the 4th District.

I am sure this will be one of many fundraisers that Big City Liberal Tarryl Clark holds outside of the 6th.  MDE will post more information as it is received on all of Clark’s out-of-district events.

Seriously? You’re going to complain about Tarryl Clark holding a fundraiser outside the 6th district? Her opponent, Michele Bachmann, hasn’t had a spare minute for her district or her constituents since she realized she could get attention in the national media. She spends every possible moment on cable news shows, and can only be bothered to interact with her constituents in the very rarest of circumstances.

I’m afraid the new MDE-ers are going to have to do better than this. If 6th-district residents decide to keep Bachmann in office on November 2010, it sure won’t be because of all the attention she lavishes on her district.

  • Oops.

Luke seems to forget the Bachmann's fundraiser in Wayzata. Last time I checked, Wayzata is in the 3rd, not the 6th.

  • "I know nobody really pays attention to Minnesota Democrats Exposed anymore, but it’s got another new author."

    How do you know? Really?

Lukes says: "I want to make it known that I am not paid to blog."

How about you Jeff? Are you paid to blog? In the spirit of full disclosure, of course.

  • Now now, lots of people read MDE. That's really unfair of you.

It's high comedy! Give them some credit.

  • Yes Jeff, who is funding your private jets and trips to Maui for blogging on a local political blog?

  • You know, I have lived in MN for most of my life, and I had never even heard of MDE until I got a broadband connection. Or, for that matter, Pawlenty's "Good Morning Minnesota" until I read about it online.

  • I'm curious. Now some people say that Luke Hellier was instrumental in both causing and helping Glenn Beck in murdering that young girl in Phoenix in 1990. Why has he or Glenn Beck never addressed this rumor that he raped and murdered this teenage girl in 1990? No one's saying that Beck really did it with Luke's assistance… but if they have nothing to hide, why won't they both deny the tale? Seems to me that when there is smoke there is often fire.

  • Bachmann won't win on town halls. Its that she is representative of her district. She may be street rat crazy - but so are they. Has anyone done the polling yet to know whether Clark believing the President was born in this country puts her in the minority or the majority in her district? Because it's a fair question.

  • Jeez — Bachmann is besieged by fictitious sex clinics in kindergartens around the state…
How can she have TIME to know what she is talking about, much less time for constituents????

Did she ever get her redistricting move to Eastern suburbs done?
Or is she waiting to sell her house during her presidential bid with Palin? LOL

  • Besides the implication that Tarryl isn't in her district there's an attack in Heliher's label "Tax and Spend Liberal".

Mr. Heliher, Tarryl Clark promotes fiscal responsibility and is in her district listening to folks all the time. She's "Listen and Use Govenrment Wisely" Tarryl Clark. You had better get around to visiting District 6 before you go pointing fingers.

I'd like to see you do a real meat and guts post, like what you want from government. "Do nothing", you say? Or what is good government?
