Quite frankly, the Right's bizarre and disproportionate (not to mention hypocritical, given there is far more evidence of vote-tampering from the Right than the Left…) fixation on ACORN does them a disservice. Clearly, ACORN isn't responsible for all the evils (aka- non-compliance with Right-wing orthodoxy) ascribed to it. As long as ACORN takes all the flack, other organizations supporting "evil" (aka- non-compliance with Right-wing orthodoxy) will operate under the radar. As someone who supports "evil" (aka- non-compliance with Right-wing orthodoxy), this pleases me, as it gives us a strategic advanage.

Untrue. No surprise there. A few low level employees have been convicted. There is NO evidence of systemic problems within ACORN.

Hate is your word, not mine. Acorn has been shown to be a corrupt organization from top to bottom. You could not answer my original question because you can't answer it honestly and keep in good standing with your far left ideologic pals. I'm all for representation of all people as long as it's fair and legal. And, for the record, I whole heartedly disagree with you that the actions and corruption of Acorn are "minuscule". This nation is close to 50/50 as we have seen from elections over the past years. So when tight races can be decided (or skewed) by dishonest and illegal organizations, democracy is not being served. As for corruption at all levels of government, the larger the bureaucracy, the more difficult it is to root it out. So, all of the promises to do so are nothing more than political speak.

There's a mortgage crisis caused mostly by big finance and de-regulation
— — Quick blame it on poor and colored folk taking out loans, we know they wont' defend themselves

There's a jobs crisis created by loss of industrial base due to unfair trade and businesses offshoring.

I know these are oversimplified examples, but it is just amazing that corporate America can rape us blind as a country and then convince 50% of us that it was the poor and powerless who are destroying this country.

How about you answer this question honestly:

1) Do you hate ACORN because they have a few shady people and it needs to be cleaned up

2) or do you hate ACORN because they try to register underrepresented voters, which tend to vote democratic? We all know that conservatives want as few people to vote as possible because it reduces their chances of being elected. This fight against ACORN is all about trying to reduce voters. Saying otherwise is dishonest and lying.

My main point CMan, is why does corruption at something so minuscule as ACORN cause such rage while corruption on a grand scale is actually encouraged by conservatives.

It would never happen. The Right Wing looses win poor people vote. They have nothing to offer them but condescension. They need to show the poor and minorities as the enemy, or at least the fair policies that would help them as being wrong.
