I'm glad this made it to the floor for debate. It deserves a good, diverse, involved debate. If and when something is passed, it will be because it was made palatable for more than just a party base (either party). That is the way it is supposed to work.

I've said this before, but when I take my personal beliefs and fears/concerns out of it, and simply be an observer of politics, this whole thing is about as fascinating as it gets.
